Sky+ Prices

I want HD... might try this.

I don't mind the extra £10 a month, it's the sky high price for the box that stops me.

Anyone had any luck with it so far?

same beef as OP..phoned to say was was going freesat unless they could offer smt.

put through to retentions....they tried to blag it to me for £99...then £50 then £0 coz im such a charmer ;)

so Got it for NOWT :D

job done.

That is good bargaining - Watch some 'Don't get done, Get Dom' - then put those skills to use!!! What a brilliant programme that was...

We've had sky for well over 13 years now in our household, my dad phoned up to see why existing custumers weren't getting similar offers as new customers, e.g. either sports or movies and 2 mix packages for £26 a month. We ended up getting getting a sky+ box and multi room for free, apart from the extra £10 per month for the multi room subscription.

I'd been with Sky for about 9 years and when my normal Amstrad box broke down, they wanted 60 quid to fix it, and wouldn't budge. I said I'd cancel as it didn't make financial sense to pay for it (you can get them for 35 quid on eBay!), so then they offered me Sky+ and Installation for 100 quid....

I got fed up with their attitude in the end, the woman was a bit "well I'm sure you can appreciate how old the box is" - nothing to do with loyalty :p

I cancelled and went to Virgin Media... I love the V+ box and Movies on Demand :D

A few months on Sky send me a letter offering Sky+ and install for £50.... *sigh*

Won't be going back tbh.

currently on the phone.

telling them i dont need sky any more, as its to expensive. instead i will be getting a digi recorder and a free view box

any chance on this working??

Doesn’t work with SkyHD I tried at the end of the year, they wouldn’t move as it a niche market, had to pay the full £200 for the box and installation cant remember the full price plus installation. Sky defiantly get a lot of money of me on a monthly basis! Worth it though. :)

Definitely worth it. Luckily i bought a new HDTV last year and got the sky HD box half price with it, just couldn't turn down an offer that good

we got Sky+ for £69 (brand new box (that ive since upgraded to a 500gb HDD) and install).

From the sister/brother shop of the Purple shirt people (take away digital)

They have offers on often of sky + for £50-60 when you buy a new TV, just go in an ask them if its only when you buy a TV and they will say its for anyone.

Thats what i done last december - 2 weeks later Sky emailed us (we have a sky.com website account) so sky linked the address etc and arrange the install for you.

Well worth it, i couldnt live with out sky+ now, i record and series link all sorts now
