No dish, no cables to run, no waiting for an engineer to turn up and bring your box. Stream box is tiny as well so can be hidden anywhere or stick behind the actual TV. Obviously does rely on broadband being up but touch wood I've never had broadband go down in 3 years now.

it was the mini boxes for us, despite running CAT6 and/or boosters/powerlines the damn things would never work properly. Spent so much time/money on it we gave up in the end.

@iMacMart I paid a local aerial company £30 I think to take it down. It was very high up, and even though I don't really mind heights, no way was I going up there to unbolt it

I am questioning if we are getting our moneys worth. Love the interface, but it's a lot of money.

Heard rumours about a new freeview system coming soon which runs off broadband, so that might do us.

I think the sky system is actually very good, but the hardware is beyond crap. We have four boxes, two of them broke and all remotes have failed.
The software is very buggy, and when the system does work it's slow because I assume it's running on a cheap soc with very little ram.
