*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

My sky tv stopped few days ago. Best offer was full package minus multiscreen £48. Anyone know if there might be better offers if I wait a bit longer.

£32 for basic + sports is the offer they’ve been spamming me with. An extra quid each for box-sets, kids and HD, and a fiver for movies. So £40 for everything except the Netflix package thingy.

Is that just HD, not sky q?

That time of year, already!

Been offered the following:

Sky Q

Entertainment - £15
kids - £1
HD - £1
Ultimate on demand - £3
Complete sports & HD - £17
Multiscreen - £13

£50 a month, on a new 18 month contract and a £20 admin fee.

UOD Discount of £9 expires in Jan 2021.

Any thoughts? @MissChief

What little knowledge I have of pricing these days (I haven't been customer facing for a few months now) that seems OK but @superdumper is better placed to comment.

I've kind of stopped commenting here because sometimes it feels a little too much like work, but in my books, this is a very good offer. It's a winback offer, Retentions do not have UOD for £3.

I would personally take it because the full price for everything is £92, but ultimately you decide.

Sure. But better deals are available by commuting to Movies for longer. Not sure of the current offers but there's usually a 3 or 6 month deal available

Thank you, Live chat wouldn't do it but I spoke to someone on the phone who arranged Sky Cinema for 1month rolling for £11pm which seemed like a good deal.

£11pm is the price currently available to existing customers online for cinema. Having recently re-joined Sky I dont find that price enticing at all given Netflix and Amazon Prime are a fair bit less. Sky continue to charge silly money for HD and UHD, I would rather spend that money on Cinema to be honest. The only reason I am back with Sky is I got full Sky sports for £13pm for 18 months.

Just a heads up, I had to speak to Sky today about something unrelated and the guy mentioned they are starting their black Friday event tomorrow with 50% off TV deals and 30-40% off something else (was either mobile or broadband but i forget). So might be a good idea for people thinking of upgrading to have a look tomorrow :)

I am hoping to get through and do something about my £125 a month (no sport) bill. Not managed to stay on the line long enough yet due to actual life intervening. Hopefully I might finally be able to get away from Fibre Pro, as that has been keeping me from decent internet deals for a while and Openreach have been constantly fiddling with everything around here.

Just a heads up to anyone after another q mini box , they appear to be £30 at the moment.
Not sure if it’s account specific but once I got through to check out the price dropped to £30

The best option today does seem to be

SkyQ Box
Multiscreen
Entertainment
Sports
Ultimate on demand

for £49.50 a month for 18 months

I managed to get them to apply another discount to mine which took it down to £44.50 a month and then added sky cinema which took it upto £50 per month, but can cancel cinema at any time.
