What flight stick have you? I'm thinking of getting a thrustmaster warthog for microsoft flight simulator.

I use a Virpil HOTAS. Not cheap, but very good. From people that I've flown with who've owned both the Warthog and Virpil, Virpil is usually considered the better of the two.

I've paid 1 months Nexus premium (£5.99) so now the mods are auto downloading, chose the UVRE mod.

ah, yes, without the premium it's a real PITA!!
It really is worth paying for though to give a little back to the people who develop these mods. I subscribe to Nexus ever so often just to support them.

I subbed for a month as well, would have literally taken about a day to install all that. Even so it took over an hour to download/hash/pack/install/whatever.
I got a lifetime subscription a few years ago before they stopped it (it was really cheap) and I am sooo glad I did.ah, yes, without the premium it's a real PITA!!
my wabbajack install for UVRE failed on 1 archive, restarted the download a few times, didn't solve it. so manually downloaded the file (it was ENB related) and placed it in the download folder, restarted wabbajack download and it started to download *all* files from the beginning! 5 hours downloading wasted so gave up on UVRE and im downloading another VR wabbajack i found somewhere. hope it works.
Sorry but that sounds like user error as Wabbajack does not do that unless you tell it to "overwrite files". Otherwise It will simply check for what is in your downloads folder and only download what it needs.
as per the instructions i created the "installation location" folder and folder for the wabbajack exe on the root of a drive on the same hd as my skyrimvr installation. i then just let the wabbajack install run through, it ran ok for hours, then the wabbajack install said "installation failed", retried the installation several times but kept failing. i googled "wabbajack installation failed" and was directed (by reddit) to looking in the wabbajack log, seen at the end of the log it said "unable" to download an ENB archive, as per the reddit page it said manually add the missing file to the download folder, i did this and retried the wabbajack installation and it started at archive 1 of about 700 lol. maybe i had overwrite files checked!Almost a certainty that you had this checked if it started again.

well using wabbajack its loading the game with

no failed downloads. but my B and Y buttons aren't scrolling through the menu. i think i need to select controller bindings for oculus touch/VRIK? i'll figure it out tomorrow.
looks good though i like the graphics upgrade and the body and grabbing things with your hands etc.
Edit: got the buttons working now in menu by installing an older SkyUI, but ive noticed now a minority of npcs have glowing blue heads
The graphics are really nice im very impressed. May attempt UVRE again tomorrow.

Oh man my Skyrim VR is looking flippin sweeeeetttt! Tahrovin really is an awesome wabbajack modpack to use as a base, with very good performance and visuals out of the box. I added a few texture packs and tweaks to the load order and am now finally going to start a stable full playthrough without breaking anything (famous last words).
You seem to be making life a bit difficult for yourself, just get Tahrovin installed and call it a day.

i probably will do yeah, the mod i'm using now uses a lot of 4k textures and my 3080ti is struggling to maintain smoothness. i have plenty of time left with my nexus sub to try Tahrovin.You seem to be making life a bit difficult for yourself, just get Tahrovin installed and call it a day.
I use a similar spec (3090) and can help you tweak it by sharing my mod list and load order with you. I am very happy with how it runs now and the balance of visuals and performance is great.

Bought this in the Steam sale and proceeded to try Tahrovin… some of the content isn‘t exactly what I was after, is it ok to just turn some of them off or do I have to be quite specific?
Other thing is when I enter buildings, there is a transparent still of me opening the door over everything. Goes away when I go back outside but it happens all the time. It’s really annoying!! Any suggestions?

You can turn off the combat NSFW stuff in mods like Yamate (or whatever its called, similar name). For the rest of the stuff I guess some can also be disabled in MCM (the mods beginning with Se*).
No idea, sorry. You can go to the Discord mentioned in the Readme to get support for the modpack. After the intial "getting used to Discord" period I use it a lot now and the modlist author is super responsible and helpful.
