Again with Shiari's score I think it is the way he has written the clockspeeds down. My err GTX 680 (half a GTX 690) is hitting the same sort of boost clocks he is getting and my memory is a bit faster plus my higher CPU clockspeed and I am still behind him.

She. :) As to my speeds, I'm simply quoting what Afterburner is reporting ... which I guess is 2x the memory speed used here?

Is this game that bad that a 670 vs a 680 is 14 fps average? what causes this big difference in 670's and 680's? ( if anyone knows or cares )

Judging by the scores so far it looks like memory speed (or more specifically the memory bandwidth resulting from the increased memory speed) on the GK104's is key.

My 780m is not that far behind Doomedspeed's GTX670 despite running noticeably slower on the core (780m is a 1536sp downclocked GTX680). I was however running the same memory speed - 6,000Mhz.

For quick reference:

780M @ 980/6000 - 45.5
GTX670 @ 1162/6000 - 48.6

I would imagine with a core clock of ~1250 and memory clocked closer to 7Ghz, Doomedspeed should crack into the low 50's quite easily.

I think you're right, it's down to the memory bandwidth..

I think that's the highest cloks i can get out of my 670 (as its a PE 'non-OC' edition)..

Though i've seen people (in the 670 PE non-OC owners thread) who have achieved around 1250/7000 so will try to throw them this way to see what it can do at that speed..

Or even someone with a PE OC edtion. :D

Not sure about that tbh, I have a 670 at 1189 core and 7ghz or 7.2ghz or 7.4 memory and i only achieve 48 fps also. I *think* the 680's texel rate at maximum AA is why its so much faster in this game, but just a guess.
