Sleeping Dogs

Is this game as awesome as it looks to be and as good as you lot are all saying it is?. :D

It's kinda crept up on me, wasn't aware of it at all but I'm sorely tempted.

I am really not sure how awesome it is tbh, it is just that it has far exceeded everyones expectations, given its development history and its relative lack of exposure and hype. It is a very good game, but for me it is multiplied by the lack of hype surrounding it.....well, before release anyway;).

Also it is nice to see it well optimized, and a generally well made PC version, with PC options. Yes there are a few bugs and hardware glitches, but not bad for a new release.....and certainly not bad for a game with the troubled history this had. Also, though there is no creation Kit or equivalent, the devs seem to be encouraging modding of the game as well.


This game will not get the acclaim that it deserves imo.
 
I get carried away with doing side missions and increasing face to buy better things than the actual main story line...

Not to mention the epic Karaoke!!! LOL

Go to the game install folder /data ie

C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\SleepingDogs\Data

Edit the DisplaySettings.xml file directly, I've got these settings atm.

No idea... i downloaded mine off steam and it installed itself.. went into options and selected it. Then pressed back space and it asked me to save so i did and it works.

Try a reinstall maybe?
 
karaoke has better songs than the radios :(

its a pitty theres no epic sound track like vice city had, even the other gta games since didnt manage it
 
I have to say I am also enjoying this more than GTA IV as well. I have had that for ages uncompleted, but I'm definitely going to finish SD! At Club Bam Bam atm and I love the music in there. The karaoke was fun as well! Little things like trying to take a photo and some guy who wants to, so you best him up :p

Yeah I was a little disappointed by the radio. There is one DJ who's voice I definitely recognise but I can't quite place him.

PS who killed the girl who starts the race first time you tried it?;)


Edit- Just read the list of karaoke songs available- Flock of Seagulls F.T.W!

I think the radio stations are awesome :confused:

The Ninja Tune one in particular.

Does anyone else feel like some bits were cut? Especially the girls, Emma Stone's character is in it for about 5 mins and Not Ping never appears again.
