The preponderance of day 1 DLCs like that was what almost stopped me getting the game. Stuff like that always sets alarm bells ringing. However, I'm happy with the basic vanilla game sans DLC, so all is well.

thinking of buying this, i really enjoy GTA games so will i like this game?
also, how long is it to complete and is there much to do once the story has been done?

You will love it! I completed the story in about 19hours, with lots of side missions/drugs busts left to do. As well as the main story there are quite a few small missions and cases to do which provide plenty of content.....and the combat never gets boring.
It is pretty much in no way inferior to GTA games, apart from the driving/handling imo. The story is very good, and the characters great.

Good game but the story is a bit weak.Gameplay wise though,its everything GTAIV wasnt
It really wasn't. For an open world sandbox game, it has the strongest story I've ever seen.
Completed this over the weekend. Done all but one of the face missions, multiple drug busts/races etc. Very good game but it makes me wonder what GTA V can bring to the table. The game was getting a wee bit repetitive towards the end.
28 hours and story and a fair chunk of side missions finished 
Very happy with how it played and more importantly ended - I was expecting a mega cliffhanger/DLC coming soon type affair and was pleasantly surprised

I don't understand why Broken Nose Jiang would just decide to leave Wei alone. She knows he's a rozzer and that he can identify pretty much everyone in the Sun On Yee leadership. Why would she take that chance?
The police already knew who the leadership was in Sun On Yee and it could be argued that Wei did her a favour by taking out Sonny Wo and Big Smile Lee because she disapproved of their business practices. Wei stopped Big Smile Lee taking control and helped position her as top dog in the organisation which is what she had been playing for the entire time.
Maybe she also respects him because hes such a badass and can get things done

Just started playing this game and just finished the night market section. Is a controller recommended for this game or are most people using M&KB?
They're money-grabbing whores who do very little to earn their money. I'd rather shop elsewhere.
I got on fine with the mouse and keyboard. By late game some of the moves you'll learn at the gym become awkward due to fingers getting crossed over but otherwise no real issues
So are pretty much every other company in the world.

. I've got a 360 controller so I'll try that out next time I play.I had used M&KB but when driving it seemed so sensitive so i switched to my controller and everything was spot on
it seems more optimised for a controller.
