Sli problem

Run Real Temp GT, you must have CPU EIST Function, CPU Enhanced Halt and C3/C6 State Support enabled in the Bios, run Real Temp with Prime to get live feed back on cpu usage and temps. 3.522v is pretty high as well, i have a bad 4770k and will not go above 4.4GHz at 1.30v. You must be hitting 90c with prime.

Only use Prime as a guide for your overclock it means naff all about stability, or you will be putting cpu volts up just to run prime stable.

Ok mate, all settings done by overclockers, im clueless when it comes to overclocking stuff.

Ran cine and got this:

Email me in trust with your tele number its your Bios setting i will go though them with you

Should a least

Its your Bios you only running a 0.7GHz chip lol, should have seen that earlier but its the beer lol.

ive been saying this for a bit but got told it was idling hahaha! are you ok giving us a shout tomorrow night mate, going to have to get my head down for work. do you think the CPU speed has been bottlenecking the cards perhaps?

Seems odd that in your cpuz screenshot, the multiplier is showing as 8 - 46x indicating that the oc is enabled but the oc hasnt kicked in or speedstep is enabled. At stock speed i get the read out showing as 8 - 39x. The cpu hitting 3.9ghz at load.

No between 8 and 46 look at Real Temp says 99.77 x 8 = 798.18 same as cpu-z score. Cpu-z states the actual speed before ie mine x44 (8-44) (bus speed 99.76) 4389.95...... His x8 (8-46) (bus speed 99.79) 789.10

Some weird Bios **** though as his volts are 3.52 as well.

flipping it over has made no difference :(

I know this isnt particularly seen as any good but I did the windows assessment thing and got this

My old PC got better CPU/Mem scores than that  and that was one of the very first i7s @ 2.6ghz. Its supposed to be an extreme overclocked bundle. Says 4.6ghz in the bios but nowhere else

Have I done something monumentally wrong setting this up, is there anything I can do to check stuff? Sorry for all the questions its just this is so frustrating, spent a fortune on a new PC and at the moment its slower than my old one

As crap as the windows reporting it, that score of 5 on a haswell i7 was the first sign of it being the CPU really, it should have got top score on stock clocks.

Hopefully zulu can get your bios in gear :)

If you got an OC profile saved in your bios then try loading optimized defaults to see if the cpu goes to max speed at stock to eliminate any cpu problems and if it does then it should be the motherboard or something set wrong on the OC profile. My haswell system was a right utter ballache to get going at first....one week of utter frustration with issues but well worth it in the end and no issues at all now hope you get it sorted.

Thanks mate, will give that a go, the profile is definitely saved, I checked.

The CPU being so slow couldnt be down to me incorrectly fitting the k2 cooler could it? Its very securely on and I used the thermal paste that came with it so just want to make sure I've not done something wrong there.

No or your temps would be higher and more uneven in Real Temp even in its low cpu speed. Its just in the Bios settings.

cool, we ok for sorting later mate? if you play games by the way ive got a few spare serials you could choose from for the help, got the new Batman and Splinter Cell Blacklist, it's not much but I genuinely appreciate the help you have given us here, saved me kicking it to bits :D
