Sli problem

So optimized defaults still runs at 800mhz?Oo

yep, he took me through loads of different settings, the ocuk profile, defaults, the lot.

really weird, shows it in the main window as 4.6, 3.5 etc but in the cpu status its 7xxmhz. booted into windows on all the above and shows as 7xx in real temp and cpu-z

pretty annoyed tbh, waited over a week to get this with testing the overclock, had a few mess ups with delivery (not my fault) and now this. chip was already in the board and the thermals look right so cant see it being anything ive done.

bit of a nightmare :(

Cool, you can try going to the first Bios and write all the settings down then go to the second Bios and write then in the same then you will be done.

Or save the first OUCK profile to a usb stick on in the first Bios, turn and unplug the pc and press the rest button on the motherboard, then load back the profile from the usb stick to the first Bios to see if it writes back and fixes it.

Very weird the first Bios must be corrupt, we should have tried a Bios reset last night but i did not want you to lose the OCUK profile incase you needed to send it back, still looking good now at least.

I rang them up and they said to clear the CMOS, said they could send me the settings again if it worked ok. So I was looking on the board and noticed the dual bios, did a little dance when it worked hahaha!

Thanks again for the help last night mate :)

Brill they can be temperamental bitches some times, spend more time messing than playing games at the moment, but when you get it just right turn it off and bugger off out so you dont mess it up lol.

Rerun Windows System Assessment Tool -

Open a command prompt, type " winsat formal -restart clean " (ATI, NVIDIA & any system overclocking)

Came a cross this a while back -

This is standard Windows Performance test with cleanup previous editions (== NOT the same as you would run regular WinSAT/Performance Testing)
> in terms you are telling your windows 'I got better performing driver now' without this no drivers will perform correctly. This function is also
capable of disabling your entire Crossfire/Sli systems and is also the one thing which has huge affect to drivers, if not completed & it will automatically
degrade all hardware unless passed clean through. You should consider this as your biggest problem in entire installation of any driver.

Just check your xfire or sli is not disabled after running this, don't know how true it is.

Also when you have updated your Nvidea drivers, you have to enable sli again got caught out on this one.

Boy did l panic lol thought the worst the first time l updated the Nvidia drivers..
