SLI wont enable!!!

i beleive ive tried those drivers. i have them in my nvidia folder in drive C so i think ive tried it. ill try again anyway.

even if it does make my SLI work it will be useless, the drivers are so old none of the games i want to play will be supported.

do you think it smells like a software issue then rather than hardware? seeing as theyre both detected by the system

Well the error you are getting is exactly the same I got until I changed it over to 8x 8x on the PCI-E bridge (DFI Ultra-D modded to SLI-D mobo).

there arent many PCI-e options in my BIOS

Its not a bios option (although my DFI bios specifically has an option to enable for 6600 SLI).

This was changing it from x2 x16 to x8 x8 via jumpers on the mobo - on your mobo its that card thingy as per someones screenshot earlier in this thread.

Buy a floppy drive and try flashing them with NiBiTor v2.6....Floppy drives are only about £6

Like i said..My two leadtek 7800gtx did the same as what your cards are doing after i tryed to flash them in windows.
And i had no problems after i reflashed them from a floppy disc with NiBiTor v2.6.
