No it won't nick, they're effectively laminated carbon steel, not easy to nick.
Pretty much all of the actual real katanas ive seen have had quite a lot of nicks...

They're probably poorly forged then, or cheap copies. Properly folded carbon steel is extremely strong and will not lose its edge easily.
