Smart Fortwo DCT Mechanical Problem

Here's another photo which settles it...

you bought a ramp - could have definitely done the trays yourself

I hadn't realised smart was rear wheel drive - that put's it above a lot of the field - anti roll bar is discreet.

I worked out it took 6 months 10 days since I went through the puddle which damaged the under trays on the 6th November 2022 while on my way to a petrol station until I got the car back fully repaired on the 16th May 2023.

It was more than a puddle I think the drains had overflowed leaving a large amount of water on the road, I didn't see it until it was too late. I now check the weather forecast for rain and will avoid that area in future if its been raining.

need to add a hazard point on Waze, not sure how long they are kept -

travelling on A10 yesterday bear trap of a pot-hole at Littleport, later saw it was registered on Waze, I don't navigate with Waze but maybe it gives you a countdown as you approach.

It's like the intro to Thunderbirds

It would have to be oral - on the A10 your eyes are constantly scanning the road surface/next bend, no time to look at tablets/HU display;
fen land roads seem to last a couple of years and then subsidence restarts.
I like to see how a self drive car would cope.

One final update to this thread, I just noticed when they first inspected the car they took a video of the damage which I never looked at before, I've uploaded it to YouTube...

https://youtu.be/J9tMonnti04

In the video they say the front tyres had 7mm of tread and the rears had 6.5mm of tread which is approximately what I measured the other day give or take.

at a risk of opening it again .... why did they need new bolts as most if not all look to still be in place on the video?
also if it was me i think i would be looking at the possibility of a undertray for below the engine/gearbox as it clearly looks like the are places clips could be inserted (slots etc) or made to fit . just for extra protection:)
