Smart Fortwo DCT Mechanical Problem

phew glad thats sorted, please lets not have part two they lost my car,or worse they gave me a huge car as a loan vehicle.
i have to say though, ive dealt with loads of garages , and not one has informed me when staff have left etc maybe im doing something wrong.....

on a side note whether you ring email, or turn up in person , getting garages nowadays to do a job is like pulling hens teeth, only the mot side is easy i just ring book it in and boom done.
ps dont know why the font changed.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the email, we are indeed aware of Neil and his Smart car. He's been emailing us for months asking us about screws, procedures, service plans, etc. He was a bit of a Karen, constantly asking to speak to managers over and over, despite us telling him very clearly what the process would be. We lost a valued manager due to Neil's constant nagging and emails. We tried sending him to our occupational health therapist but sadly Kareem just sat in the office screaming "please no more Neil, PLEASE" repeatedly whilst rocking back and forth. Kareem saw a Smart car on the way home and drove in to it very deliberately and repeatedly, so we had to dismiss him and are now dealing with the whiplash claims. Kareem has updated his profile on Linkedin to indicate that he no longer works for us.

Apologies that this got so out of hand, we did everything in our power to appease this man but sadly he didn't give up and even ended up stalking our current and former staff members on Linkedin to see who else he could pester.

We've ordered the undertrays and fixings, they'll be with us shortly. We've marked the price of the screws up to £8 per screw to help us cover our threapist costs and legal fees for Kareem.

We've turned this in to a toolbox talk for the team and will roll it out amongst all franchisees as this has been an extremely valuable lesson in patience, tolerance and restraint for all of us here at Undertrays'R'Us.

Kind regards,
Mr Smart

Stuck my iPhone under the car and reversed the camera and took these photos...

So the missing rear under tray is a pretty serious bit of kit, I'll find out soon enough whether they've got both the under trays but I'm just happy its being serviced.

need an armoured sub-tray option like the snatch land-rover, for deployment on the mean streets of jersey with IED's/pot-holes/sleeping-policeman
titanium like modelS might be aesthetic too.

Well its all over folks, cars been serviced and the under trays have been fitted. They didn't use Wurth bolts but I'm not bothered about that just glad its finally over.

By the way the parts I photographed above aren't covered by an undertray anyway, which surprised me.

So take it back and tell them to remove the undertrays and give you a refund!
Lol!

Here's a photo of my new under trays...

moreover, is that the exhaust in the picture - seems to have too many brackets/too close to wheel ? or, are there tubular elements in the chassis/suspension

The subframe/axle there is a big piece of steel tube. It's weird when you first see it but I tuned it out eventually and forgot it was there.
