Another question for Gear fit 2 peeps. How are you dealing with the brightness of the screen? I have it set to 5 at the moment but that's too bright indoors and too dark outdoors. Why is there no auto brightness?!

I know, wish it did have auto brightness. I have mine set to 7 and just leave it. Tis bright at night though

When will be new devices be out? Thinking of getting something around the £200 mark but don't want to splurge if they're around the corner.

I'm in a similar boat, looking to upgrade my 360 v1 but want to wait for the 'next gen' ones.

I believe there's going to be an Asus Zenwatch 3 'soon', there's an event in a weeks time (31st) that is rumoured to be the announcement/release.

I was also looking at the Polar M600, bit more than your £200 mark and definitely 'fitness' focussed, but interesting.

Kinda surprised there's not more news/rumours really or maybe I've just missed them all...

Having issues with my 360 v1 if I go away from my watch with my phone the only way I can reconnect is by turning the watch on and off. A real pain. Anyone else have this ?

had this twice over the last week, only started doing it recently. Been ok now for about 3 days so touch wood.

Yes, certainly waiting for a refresh. Perhaps the hopefully soon to be announced Nexus line up.

I've looked at those two (well, zen watch 2) but prefer a rounded face instead of squared.

The Zen Watch 3 is rumoured to be round I believe, definitely worth waiting as it's less than a week now.

And yeah, the potential Nexus watches, not sure whether that'll ever come to fruition though, who knows, perhaps if the market is slowing and they want to push it more.

Zenwatch 3 is out, round as expected, seems to 'lack' a heart rate sensor (and yet they mention a ZenFit app), 229 euros so probably £229 :p

Not sure about ambient light sensor, assuming not, claimed 2 days battery life, amoled screen, seems ok. Not personally a fan of the gold ring, especially on the gunmetal one which otherwise would look a lot better, imo.

I personally love the look of the ZW3:

Not really fussed about heart rate sensor (I hardly used mine on my GWR). It also uses the SD2100, which should be a lot more efficient compared to the SD400s found in the majority of Wear watches.

It has fast charging although I don't really see the point of that. And also some sort of "battery pack addon".

Just read it does have auto brightness, 'with no visible ambient light sensor', so that sounds good.

It's opinion of course and I think the gold looks nice, if that's your thing, the silver not too bad, but the gunmetal is the one I'd want *except* for that gold ring. I'd probably go silver if I went for the Zenwatch based on the gold ring fitting in better with the silver, imo of course.

And yeah, the heart rate sensor is a bit meh, be nice if it was a 24/7 sensor/log, but it's not, it's just on-demand by default and that's kinda pointless, got a proper chest strap thingy for that.
