Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

With all the new smart watch announcements nothing has really caught my eye which is a shame. I have a gear fit 2 but may go for a Gear S2 watch now prices have come down.

Anyone got the S2 who can comment on it?

Yup, kinda looks good, the latest batch on the horizon.....I am still running a Moto 360 v1, but it is showing signs of wear and tear now. Zenwatch 3 looks interesting, although so does the imminent S3...then again, the ~fish Nexus watches could be good too!

Really enjoying my GF2 at the moment.

After switching from my iPhone (and Apple Watch) to the Note 7 I wanted something that was lighter, had longer battery and was, oddly enough, more simple.

This GF2 ticks all the boxes. Has around 3-4 days battery life and I use it solely as a tracker for my running, cycling etc. So nice not having to take my phone with me every where.

I just bought my first smartwatch, sony smartwatch 3, I am a sony buff so it kind of was the only way especially given the price compared to others.

I always thought people with smart watches were ****s, but actually today is my first day with it, its very useful and I will invest when the newest generation comes out i suppose.

Any of the Android Wear devices are fairly useless with iOS as only notifications will work.
An Apple Watch would probably be your best bet. Possibly a new version being announced tomorrow so you might be able to get the old one cheap.

Been searching all day, just ordered a Garmin Forerunner 235, should be perfect for my needs.

Hi guys, looking to buy my 1st smartwatch for iOS. Budget is 200-250 euros. Any recommendations? It has to look nice! Don't need many features.

I agree, if I had an iPhone it would be an Apple Watch, nothing else. Unless I needed a Garmin or something specific for sports.

I still use mine every day - mainly for the time and notifications.

I like being able to decide if I need to get my phone out or not as I'm usually very busy at work and only respond to important emails until break/dinner.

Used every day. I hate if I switch phones for a review and forget to pair up the new phone before leaving the house. (For some reason you need to connect a power source for a few seconds during set-up, still don't really know why)
