Just got the call from the wife...

"I'm stuck down the lane, can you come and fetch me please".

RS4 ignited, confidence high, then proceeded to nearly take out the gate sideways and totally out of control, JUST saved it. So took it a bit easier and got the the wife, sure enough one bogged in MX5.

Swapped cars, clicked OFF the traction control (how many times have I told her this) and proceeded to have some epic sideways lane/snow games for 5 minutes, into the church car park for some skids and both cars parked up and safe. Who needs snow tyres, PAH, puffs the lorra ya!

Right, new pants I feel.

We have snow here, and it's started to settle.

Currrently driving a 2003 XJ6 because I couldn't buy a Range Rover last week.

Drive home will be fun......

And I was thinking on bringing the motorbike to work tomorrow, looks like that will be a definate no no!

I have my winter tyres fitted and ready to make my BMW a snow plough but we still have no snow at the moment :(

And the English always complain about Scotland being cold, wet and miserable.

It's slightly cloudy here, a whisper of wind and a positively tropical temperature of 5C. I kinda wish it would snow for a bit, quite enjoyed it last year... :(

You're such a yobbo. ;)

We have big **** off oak trees lining our driveway and a tight left hander leading out onto a huge church car park and I thought I'd get it nice and sideways and hold it there for a bit. I did this with utter skill, getting it back and stopping it however I'd forgotten and for a couple of seconds I thought this might be a "look at my car with its new fence post" thread.

So many people that I've told it's best to switch off traction control in the snow (namely when they are stuck) look at me as if I've told them I want them to die. It does nothing but make driving nigh on impossible in the slippery stuff (and less fun once you're moving).

I'm still waiting for the snow here so I can have some fun too. :(

Yea, but it's full of sweaty socks lol ;)

Wife is fearing the snow in her mx5..

To be fair it was a handful, I suspect most people would actually have struggled but I'm used to holding it sideways for weeks and don't fear the thing where as my wife doesn't have that confidence to get it all crossed up but keep moving and the lane has some nice ditches each side in a couple of places if you get it wrong. I'f I need to get it even further sideways I'd call Tax Evader.

I just went for a little drive, the winter tyres finally pay off! Last year I could barely go any where, now it's the same as my drive to work yesterday.

The snow was 1" thick on the windscreen, not quite so bad on the roads though.

Just came back through the snow, like usual the main roads are fine but its the B roads which are fun :) Just gotta keep off the boost :D

Now I have a RWD I am both hoping it snows, and hoping it doesn't.

I've been keeping an eye out for nice big open car parks in the local area....

Where are you all? I heard that Kent is going to get snow all night but nothing here at the moment apart from cold...

My first snow in a RWD car and it's looking nasty out there at the moment, should be fun tomorrow if it keeps up like this!

The Impreza went to the garage who are selling it for me today, everyone I've spoken to this week about it have been saying "OMG what about all the snow (that's not here), why get rid of it now".

Supposed to be playing football tomorrow afternoon, bet my mates pussy out of it.

Either way I'll be finding an empty car park.
