SNOW! Mummy!!!!

I got stuck getting up my SLIGHT incline to my road, literally it's about 3degree incline and the car wouldn't move, had to floor it in 2nd to spin the wheels to get me going, then had to park at the end of the road instead of my drive.

BMW + Snow != fun

It's an automatic, I can only pull off in 1st/2nd and flooring it really was the only way to get moving, I tried for about 5minutes to get 20yards :p

Just drove my MX-5 home from work, 4 miles down country lanes covered in powdery, compacted snow and ice.

Got stuck on slight inclines, but only from stationary, and had one near head-on collision at 20MPH, thank god for ABS.

This was my first time driving a RWD vehicle in these kinds of conditions. I won't be driving it to work tomorrow if I can help it.

My first snow in a RWD, been out to a carpark with a few mates to get a feel for my car - now no longer scared of it at all - just have to learn how to drive on it.

Couple of inches up in Greater Manchester, so everyone's driving round at 20mph. My ABS kicked in as I rolled up to some traffic lights at about 3mph. Exciting times.

Well both of my BMWs are utterly hilarious in the snow. Not has as much fun as I did tonight in a long while :D

My RS6 is incredible on snow. With the traction control on, you can give it throttle and you'll get a bit of side slip in one direction, then the other, then it'll pull straight and be off like a rocket. Even compacted snow and ice doesn't really phase it although it requires a somewhat lighter touch.

The problem is I've gone to visit my mum in Eastbourne and, for reasons that still evade me, took the front wheel drive A6 instead. Turns out it's been snowing rather a lot.

Just been out for a quick early morning scout around the local roads. The MX5 is surprisingly manageable on slushy roads, had a little fun on wide corners just dabbing the throttle, letting the back kick, then recovering...not too much hooliganism, although I did go around a roundabout a few more times than I needed to.... :p

Also got stuck once in a 4-5 inch snow layer while turning around in a junction. Not a problem though, DSC/TCS off, 2nd gear, rock it back and forth gently and it came out quite nicely. Have to go out later with the missus, will have to explain why there's already a nice coating of slush on the wheel arches :o

Snow here is epic. Didn't enjoy the drive to my misses house last night. So many morons on the road, who are stuck or just fish tailing everywhere.

Winter tyres definately helping in these conditions.

I haven't actually left the house since it started snowing yesterday. Going out later this morning so will see how much carnage has occured in my local area. The Mondeo is great if a little uneventful in the snow as the ESP works rather well at just limiting revs so you keep moving. Surprised at how good the Conti Sport Contacts were, too.
