SNOW! Mummy!!!!

It's been snowing here all afternoon. Very fine and the wind is strong. It's been enough to cover everything properly though.

You got drizzle as well? :D

Yup just a little :)

Wife looked out the window this morning said ooh it's snowing, 5 mins later stopped and all gone :p

Was out cleaning the car in it this morning, had about 5 minutes with a few flakes which then turned into rain :p

I have no idea what my car is like in the snow. Something in me wants to take it out when it starts snowing but I am sure ill bottle it and leave it in the garage.

I manage to travel the country without issue in my truck, yet it takes me an hour to get from my depot in Stoke to my House in Newcastle-under-Lyme (about 5 miles tops) , the respective councils, despite ample warning, seem to have done sod all with regard to preparing for this expected snowfall.

Bloody typical!

And lol @ the number of abandoned cars! WTF! BMW's , Mercs, Front wheel drive Fords & Vauxhalls..... yet I had no problem with my RWD e39...???

Still none in Essex but I guess its just a matter of time. Wasn't snowing when I was over in Hertfordshire earlier on today, I need to do a journey later on tonight at 11-12... hope it's not snowing.

We've had it bad up here, and got sent hme early from work, there's an even worse bank here on my way home than from my last job, it goes round a bend down then straightens up, anyway, went down the bend, and there were about 4 cars at the bottom, one was stuck, and i lost grip but controlled my car into a high grass verge, then mounted the grass verge to get some grip to go up the bank, thankfully i made it without killing my car.

you think its bad in redcar try a little further in land

I went past 3 BMW's and a Merc with their rear wheels spinning away on a hill on my way home. The Merc did eventually move and proceeded to attempt to swipe me off the road as its rear end flailed all over the road. Some people need moar skillz :(

I've used winter tyres on my BMW for the last 3 winters and they are a god send and was quite amusing seeing 4x4s struggling and I wasn't at all. But before that I used to just put 4x 25kg bags of cement in the boot which helped a lot.

Just managed to escape the snow in time! Don't think I was the only person trying to escape - haven't seen traffic moving out of the M4 into the M5 that fast ever before.
