Snow White 2024

Cheers for your 2 cents :-)

I'm still in 2 minds about going, but I still think I ought to see it on the big screen. It was me who posted this thread after all, so I need to finish what I have started.
I went in with zero expectations, and I was expecting two hours of ****.

We are huge Disney fans as a family, so it was a necessary evil for me at the time.

However it was ok to pretty good......

Went to see it on Friday (have Odeon Unlimited) fully aware of the backlash.. There is a great moment when
Dopey finally speaks
but Gal Gadot's evil Queen didn't seem to scare anyone in my showing. She also seemed to be channelling Poshspice throughout the whole film.

Well Its £43m opening weekend domestic was updated to an actual number of $42.2m so ouch.

The monday numbers are in too. $2.5m - 76% drop from Sunday. Disney investors should be sharpening thier pitchforks and dousing their torches

I mean, its clearly not 1.7 bad which kind of devalues the idea of a rating system when people are clearly just review bombing it. Even utter ***** gets 5s.

Plenty will be doing the opposite though and giving it 10/10 when it blatantly isn't a masterpiece of filmmaking.

I mean, it does look pretty awful, but it probably isn't 1.7 bad though :p

I'm just pleased Disney are getting some punishment for their political messaging and creative bankruptcy.

Doesn’t help that Critics are review bombing it!!
