So are you getting a 7970 or waiting for Kepler?

I am really looking forward to this coming out, However i've had speculation. I've got plenty of cash to spend on a new GPU and im in serious need of an upgrade from my 5770. I'll be doing a new build late April, but for now just a new PSU and GPU, however i'm only running on 1 Monitor and not really interested in anything else for a while. The option to do it later on would be nice but im looking for something thats really powerful on 1 Screen and gives me the option to do Xfire / SLI as ive not done it before.

Possible CPU is the ivybridge 3770k i7.

Any ideas on what GPU i should go for would be grateful!
 
ok waiting for keplar for sure as my gtx 480 is too old but its on ek watetblock will sell here after keplar for a very good price

will buy 780 hope it will be more powerfull then 590 and will play bf3 perfectly
 
Certainly not getting a 7970 as the money I was saving I've spent on a Blackberry Playbook (which is amazing by the way) as I realised I wouldn't be able to afford the 7970. No point in waiting for the 7870 either as its not a big enough upgrade from my 470 which will now do me until kepler.:D
 
None of the above. Just got myself a 6970 and I don't intend to replace it any time soon.

Will probably skip a generation now. There's no decent games coming out this year (Well, one that looks kind of original from Bethsoft) so there's just no point.

The software needs to catch the hardware.
 
I have to go kepler as ATI still don't have a reliable or fast Seti client, so Im firmly in the green camp, but for now my 470's will do me, so I can wait for prices to drop..
 
I sold my 6990 while I could still get a good price for it. Just waiting for a the 7990 to come out with hopefully an aftermarket cooler.

The 6990 was far too loud for my liking, reminded me of my old GTX 470.
 
will prob buy one at some point and sell the 580 whilst it still has value, whether that'll be in the next 24 hours or when non-ref coolers come out depends how much they are
