So did anyone buy the Dell 24in ST2410?

my monitor is ips aswell but as I dont do photography, game at uber settings and sit directly in front of it I felt TN would be just fine

as you said if I cant get on with it I can ebay it for probably more than I paid so wont lose out
 
Hello all i'm just wondering if people have to wait till silly dates such as me to get their monitor from the manufacture? (26/02/10)
 
I've ordered one of these to replace my 2407WFP. I'm going to sell my 2407 as I only use the DVI port and seems daft having such a monitor and not using most of it functions. 2 Mates have got this monitor already and its awesome, really impressed with it so it should be a good replacement for me. The black and white bezel looks great!

My current delivery date is 26th Feb lol... long wait but a good price anyway!
 
Well guys and girls it has arrived. :)

I did an unboxing vid so expect that in a few hrs after i sorted stuff out. Room needed good clean so thought id do it, was just gona tidy the desk wipe it then plonk the new tft on next to 19" crt as gona try dual for a bit see how i like it.

It is GEORGOUS! Its bigger than i thought cos i seen 22" in asda and thought meh tiny. But seems 2 extra inches goes along long way. That or i saw somit saying 22 but was 19 lol.

Anyhow really pleased it arrived early cos driver was passing my area. :) It looks amazing and stylish to hell. No dvi incase ppl wondering. But bought one off ebay for few quid which should work a treat.

Expect pics, video later today. :)
 

AWESOMNESS!!

No dead pixels as far as i could see with notepad maxed out. Slight bit of dark at top so i have to raise my head a bit when lying down in bed. Colours look great and brightness is spot on etc apart from the view angle which isnt really a big deal imo. No bleeding afaik.

And the brightness changes depending on if the small preview image of space is on screen or not, its like it gets a whole lot whiter and brighter if its off screen with it on it doesnt. Dynamic contrast at work?

I just recieved my monitor. In fact. I am writing on it right now!

First of all it looks great. Much better than most other TFT:s I have seen. Not dull as office monitors, not plastic looking like most consumer monitors (especially Samsung). It simply looks great!

The stand is good too. Not much wobble there. And it is very easy to tilt. The whole thing feels like quality. I didnt expected that when having the price in mind.

Another thing that I am positively surprised by is the uniformity. Very solid pearformance and I cant see any noticable backlight bleed or clouding. The black levels are much better than expected. Far better than my old TN-screen.

Other than that I can just say that this is really a good monitor and I recommend it to anyone. I was a little bit worried that my old GFX card wouldnt work with this thing but it worked like a charm. It was just to plug in and use. So saved some money! :)

Is the HDMI also hdcp compliant on this as I only saw the dvi is. Hooked to PS3 can this be connected using speakers connected to the audio out from the monitor or would the speaker bar from dell be better to get sound?
 
Glad you all like it - I've said more than once that it's a great screen. Try turning the dynamic contrast off (I think it works best) and as you've allready done Skeeter - the game profile :) WINNER.

The HDMI is HDCP compliant.
