Well that is how everyone dies. My assumption is that whatever transpired about a year prior had continuously deteriorated her health and being old is of course a massive factor. Suppose it's pedantic really.
Technically it’s lack of oxygen to the brain that’s the cause of every death… #pedantic

If you're over 80 and your Clinicians have constantly treated you over years and slowly watched you decline then it can go down as old age.
Of course there will be underlying issues that caused that decline over the years.
Also if you died like the Queen did, it wouldn't have to be referred to the Coroner for a Post Mortem but obviously if she was being treated in hospital and wasn't supposed to die at that time then a Post Mortem would be carried out.
