Ha, I did this once….what could possibly go wrong I thought.
The veet on your balls thing?

This thread has made me want to sabotage someone by covertly squirting a load of washing up liquid into their dishwasher when I visit.
Stingy and doesn’t work..I’m toldThe veet on your balls thing?
Understatement of the century lolStingy and doesn’t work..I’m told
Oh dear. Another poor soulNever owned a dishwasher, I have a sink and two functioning hands, so no I haven't.
Two adults and two kids in this house and the dishwasher is used daily, sometimes every two days. Can't imagine having to wash up all the cooking stuff like saucepans etc.was handy for washing baby bottles and dummies when it got to the point they didn't need sterilising anyway but other than that...
2 adults+2 kids didn't seem worth unless we were both knackered, rinsing the plates in the sink then loading the dish washer is almost as much effort as just washing them properly.
then when you factor in the needing to unload it so dirt plates can go back in.... it's probably the same effort as washing anyway.
My partner and I would cook together pretty much then as she was finished with a pan I would just quickly wash it by hand and stick it on the drying rack. Two adults and two kids in this house and the dishwasher is used daily, sometimes every two days. Simply don't have time for it.
I don't rinse before loading my dishwasher btw. Seems like the dishwasher is designed to do that too
My partner and I would cook together pretty much then as she was finished with a pan I would just quickly wash it by hand and stick it on the drying rack.
after dinner we would basically have 4 plates, 2 desert bowls, and a bit of cutlery.
seemed pointless to stick it in the dish washer and wait 3-4 days for a full load.
We use ours everyday, sometime twice.
pans and pots would take up so much space if we put them in the dish washer we would basically be running with a half full load anyway.
It was a full sized dishwasher to built in to the kitchen, how are you guys ending up only running the dishwasher every 2-4 days? you cook only pre packaged meals or what?
yea but they won't be getting hit with water properly to get cleaned thoroughly surely? if you cooked any sauces with cream, cheese, eggs etc they basically will come out like they went inPots and pans can be loaded over glasses and bowls
While one cooks the other one is bathing the kids or getting them ready for bed. I don't get home from work until 6ish and the kids go to bed at 7-7:30. The dishwasher goes on either every day or every two days.My partner and I would cook together pretty much then as she was finished with a pan I would just quickly wash it by hand and stick it on the drying rack.

I guess all dishwasher layouts are pretty much the same? about 16 cups fits at the top using the sides, then the middle part of the top rack fits about 10 bowls/small plates?
bottom has a tiny space for saucepans etc , some room for large plates maybe about 10? and the small square pull-out bit you put cutlery in?
max would probably have been 2 frying pans and 2 sauce pans along with a full load., but if people are waiting 2-4 days you must use double that or live from oven ready meals?
probably would have been fine with one drop
When I had a dish washer I hardly used it apart from birthdays and special occasions when there would be guests plates and cups.
you can do it faster by hand, never liked waiting for it to finish so I could unload it, mrs was usually lazy and would try to use the dishwasher as a cupboard.... then pile up dirty plates on the side board
dishwasher is just lazy, probably why some of the forum complain about putting on weight easy as they get older
Urgh must stinkWe had a dishwasher, never used it so replaced with a cupboard. Much better.
Urgh must stink
how petty
