I think the problem here is you were expecting a bargain that you could make a massive profit on, which was clearly not the case.
 
I have 12000 denim socks to sell, all in good condition ( sellable ) will sell for £1200 . Preferre bank deposit ( no paypal ) . Quality goods , think of the profit you could make selling these. You can’t send cash trough the post, so it will be his fault if he claims he sent cash.
