They would have to pay for the postage if the goods were not as described, just like with the 64-bit vista fiasco....

After this much time has passed you would actually have had more money if it had just been left in a savings account.

I'm sorry but having read your previous threads, you are awful at business and trade.

If Slinwagh's screenshot is the actual listing, I find it shocking how you think giving over a grand to an illiterate trader is safe. Seriously, steer clear from trading. You're clearly not good at it if you can't spot the risks.

I have nothing constructively new to offer you to get out of the mess you have brought onto yourself. However I do hope you get some financial compensation in return, on moral grounds only.
 
This thread is useless without recorded phone conversations (TTIUWRPC, for those in the know)

I expect highlights such as:

OP: "Oh, hi mate, I was just wondering if it was possible to get that money back you owe me? I know you're busy but it's been a while since I sent them back"
Scammer: "Ah - yea, the refund - see the problem is mate things are a bit tight here at the moment - you know how it is, wife's expecting another little one and she's been spending like crazy"
OP: "Of course mate, of course. Well no worries when do you think you can have the cash for me?"
Scammer: "Well to be honest mate it's goin to be a couple of weeks now till my next pay-day."
OP: "Right, right.."
Scammer: "I tell you what I can do though - we've just got this new shipment of Armani jeans in, great product, fly off the shelves they do - we're selling them in two pallet job-lot's - usual price is £2499 but knock the £1500 off that and then add £299 for postage and they're yours"
OP: "Well that certainly sounds reasonable.. [reaches for cheque book].. sorry mate how do you spell your name again?"

once again... no cheque.

Thats it now... im through dealing with him. I havent phoned him to tell him the cheque hasnt arrived but i shall be contacting my solicitor via phone call on Monday in my lunch break and booking myself in.

Any other suggestions ....
 
Luke, you deserved to be ripped off, you call yourself a business man yet your constantly asking the kids (Sorry if you are older) on here for advice, should I phone him, should I do this, should I do that, you come accross as a complete prat, 70 plus days and its not sorted, what a complete loser

Just call the Solicitor.

They will give you all the necessary information you need and start the ball rolling.

Cut off all communication with him now and let the Solicitor do it all.

I just won a pound off the missus. 20p @ 5-1. Whoompa!! :D

Depends how they drive their car, or lifestyle, I.E Smoking, Dead nice, no, not really, just a realist who can make up his own mind as to when appropriate action needs to be taken and not ask on a public forum sounding like a dithering idiot
 
Do you know what he said aswell after i phoned him lol...

I said "just to let you know Phil, once again......... no cheque"

He didnt sound suprised...

I then said "Phil, at the end of the day i have given you a lot of opportunitys to resolve this matter... and you have bean leading me on for a while now, ive been patient and waited 70days. Put yourself in my shoes.... I have your jeans and your money... would you let this go on for 70+days? I am losing all patience now and all i can ask is have you even sent it???

Phil replies "I cant believe your saying this Luke, i cant beleive your accusing me. We are a registered business and cant afford to work like that"

I turned round an laughed and said " look mate, youve told me on several occasions i would be receiving the refund that very week, ive not accused you either... im merely asking the question in which we both know the answer to"

Phil says "wait till monday and let me know if it still hasnt arrived and if not i will get another cheque signed and sent special delivery and will give you the tracking number"

so... either way im still contacting my solicitor on Monday because the office is closed today. The solicitor is actually aware of the situation and has said to wait and give him the final opportunity. But even the solicitor said i cant see it turning up because why post standard 1st class.

But saying that, me being an Estate Agent, when we send our invoices and the solicitor sends our cheques... they can sometimes get lost in the post (very rare) but does happen even if there only a 5 minute walk away lol
