Metacritic scores in bold, which gives a bit more of an overall opinion.
To say he hasn't made a decent game in 10 years is complete rubbish. I enjoyed playing both Fable games and Dungeon Keeper, although I did find Black&White to be a real dissapointment.
They weren't rubbish, the fable games that is, but they weren't close to brilliant. Story wise, a little generic, but its the rest of the game that had MAJOR problems and flaws. As said the generic good/bad systems, like farting in public somehow making people like or hate you, honestly, its geared towards 12 year olds playing and enjoying what story wise, is aimed as a far more adult game. He's caught between aiming at 8 year olds and 21+ year olds.
His latest idea that XP was difficult to understand because so many retards play games these days, is unbelievably stupid. It seems XP and skill levels will be more closely based on your fame/followers, which probably means farting more and more to make people like you, to get better stats. Which means he's now aiming at 5-15year olds, who are in the special ed classes.
Black and White was a GREAT idea, but not well enough executed, and the second game was significantly worse.
I actually played FAble 2 without ever having played the first one, when I played the first, I thought I was playing a worse looking version of the same game, almost everything was identical with most of the story being copy and paste on the basic idea's.
If Fable 3 is again an almost identical story, with worse RPG elements and more childish idea's for gaining fame, it will be a complete flop in terms of quality.
I'd ask him why he insists on moving towards making games the stupidest million gamers will buy, rather than making better, harder, more complex more interesting and less childish games that the smartest couple million gamers will buy. Theres 10's of millions of gamers out there, why does everyone seem to want to market their games towards the stupidest bunch of them.
