So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

They will stick with him no problem. Bournemouth's biggest problem will be if they let that thieving lying ***** Redknapp back anywhere near the place. He was all over them at the match when they went up during the week.

No doubt about that but do Bournemouth's board?

I can't comment on how much the board will back him, but I get the impression that they probably won't make many changes to the team. They definitely need one striker, as tbh I can't see Kermogant doing much in the Premiership, but other than that I don't think Howe will want to upset the winning formula much.

Btw, Brighton and Hove Albion- 2 goals in the last 9 games...One penalty and one own goal!:(

Go on Ipswich! Love it that it was Darren Bent that missed the penalty that could have completly changed that game. We'll have to pull something out the hat the beat Norwich though...

Play-offs:

Fri 8th May: Brentford v Middlesbrough 19:45

Sat 9th May: Ipswich Town v Norwich City 12:15

Return legs on 15/16th.

Final on 25th.

Well Brentford, I'm sure toshj is happy :D

I teared up very slightly just before the final whistle, and had to have a quiet sit down whilst walking back to the station - properly drunk now :)

When hammered at about 3am this morning I almost put the remaining £100 in my Sky Bet account on us finishing fifth, but good proper common sense prevailed and I opted out :p

Got my tickets for the first semi final leg at Griffin Park, and have booked up my hotel for the away leg - not sure anyone should have to go through the trauma of going away to Middlesbrough twice in the same season ;)

Jimmy Floyd for the Leeds job now?

Brentford job? I still don't understand how the Brentford situation came about.

I wish I had working knees... well, and didn't live in Milton Keynes now, would have loved to go today.

What do you think of chances of beating Boro... and then, Norwich, or Ipswich. 5 of Boro's 6 losses in second half of the season were away from home, but then they beat both Norwich and Derby away from home so, maybe not as good away but game raises against the top of the table?

Not really, we were god awful away to Bournemouth and Watford.

Our away form has been a mixed bag all season... our home form is formidable, best in the league.

Benham realised that a manager having absolute transfer power is a hindrance. Particularly as we have some of, if not the, most sophisticated and in depth statistical football analysis in the world available to us for free.

A good club will be run in the same vein as a good company, with investment being vital. A club with the manager having the final say-so concerning (player) investments is susceptible to having that manager leave whilst also having missed out on potential investments. Warburton vetoed several players which Benham identified as targets which would have likely seen us go up automatically. Therefore the structure was altered and Warburton didn't want to be part of a club which didn't allow him a transfer veto. Also Benham wants to implement more reliance on statistical analysis throughout the game (not just with transfers).

It's a massive shame, but Benham is running a similar model in Denmark, and his side is about to win the league for the first time in their history despite him only taking over last year.

If ever there was a season where it pretty much all came good..

Bournemouth, still have those images un my head of fans outside the ground shaking buckets for spare change to save the club from going under.

Brentford, fingers crossed.. yoyo club league 1/2 down the years, you build a foundation, good things happen.

Rotherham staying up. Another one of footballs hard luck stories, first time at the level years ago wrecked the club, an interview with the chairman at the time on the radio said the club couldn't afford to be/play at that level.. and so it proved. Steve Evans might not be a favourite of most, but im pleased the club/area are doing well, and long may it prosper.

Forest are still a total melting pot, the good thing going is that we play in the best competition in English football. That said I fear for the club, if the owner we have pulls away, the way it's been run over the last few, the same kind of doom the befalls many large infrastructure clubs without the financial backup will catch up to us.

Good luck to all those in the playoffs, Brentford would be mine, but ippo and Norwich are good clubs, and Middlesbrough would be deserved given the crap deal in life the area gets.

League 1/2 great/good luck stories too. Bury another nearly out of existence club going up, Burton levelling up, all good:)

Only downer, Blackpool... all that good, ****ed out the window:(

Great point for Wednesday at Watford yesterday, we have been well beaten by Watford over the last few games.

Good season overall for Wednesday: new owners, new money, new pitch is going down as we speak (new drainage), new scoreboards, new players, and new off the pitch organisation.

Mid-table was a good finish, cannot understand the expectation shift of some 'fans'. Now Wednesday have a wealthy and ambitious owner and consortium, suddenly people were expecting a promotion push. Mid-table is good after the recent fortunes of the football club.

For a change, I'm looking forward to next season.
