So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

I'd argue whether Tomlin was one of our best players to be honest. Sure, he was capable of the spectacular, but he was far too inconsistent and lazy. Bamford on the other hand!

Karanka has confirmed our interest in Rhodes is over with Nugent signing, you can take that with a pinch of salt tbh. If we're not scoring that might change before the 1st.

I'm generally quite optimistic, but I can't say the signing of Nugent has inspired me. But he has an excellent record at this level and with Fabrini/Downing supplying him (I'd love to see both play together but not likely with Karanka) then there's a good chance he'll find his form. The early signs are that Stuani looks a better player than Kike too.
 
Kike was scoring goals early on too.
And putting two past Oldham isn't exactly optimist worthy.
I'd say we're barely better than last seasons squad, it'll be formation and tactics it comes down to rather than players.

And nugent doesn't have an excellent record, the only player I'd say has a truly standout record is. Rhodes.

The wolves kid looks good (personally I'd bang a 5m offer in for him)

I'd be happy if we had a crack at hooper. Despite his "failings" at Norwich.
 
I read earlier Nugent has something like 96 in 160 Championship games, not bad really! The main reason I lack any enthusiasm though is his age and as you've already highlighted Karanka's refusal to change to a more attacking philosophy.
 
He's not even close to 96 in 160. I read someone make a similar claim on FB.

He's never been 1 in 2 overall at a club he's been at.

In 268 games in the CH, he's scored 95 according to Wiki.
In the 130 games in the CH he played at Leicester (Which should have been his prime, 25-28ish) he scored 49.

Bamford scored 17 goals in the CH, so Nugent can just to say cover that.. But still, I think it's a poor signing. Don't know why everyone reckons it's great. They bring up that we tried to sign him last year. Yes, his contract had expired basically, he managed to get an extension in the end though.

LOL, I've just read it in the Gazette. Jesus Christ.

And he got 14 and 15 in the previous seasons in the Championship making his goal tally for the Foxes to 49 in 130 games in the division.

Excellent. We've just signed Jamie Murphy on a 4 year deal from Sheffield United. One more winger, hopefully Ben Marshall, and I'll be very happy with our business this year.

Forshaw is 23, and cost like 2.5M or something 8 months ago. That's a decent amount in the CH.

1 Striker at home.... Jesus. Nugent and Stuani on bench. That's what, 7.5M of striking firepower in the CH. That's more than most teams spend in a couple of seasons in the CH.
 
That's a shame.
Boro are smashing it, that'll only persuade Karanka that the formation which arguably cost us promotion last season is worth sticking with :p
 
I think Leeds are looking much better than last season. The style of play is better and midfield supporting the attack. Adeyemi looks good and hopefully Murphy can get back to how he finished last season. Bellusci was good against Doncaster so Bamba and Bellusci centre backs with Berardi and Taylor fullbacks looks good linking up well with Dallas and Sam. Wood looks good with his touches, lay offs and runs just needs some game time.

I am impressed with Rosler I think it was the right decision to bring him in.

Agh, suddenly everyone's forgotten how poor we were against Preston, and it's all "Kike's the best" etc.

Love Football fans, the most illogical bunch of people on the planet.

I still think we've got one of the best squads in the league though, be that arrogance or not.

Knowing more than your manager. Capped by Spain, winner of La Liga and the Champions League, and the person who spends hours each day with the squad, seeing them in training and analysing the opposition. Yet you questioned his line up that saw you 3-0 up at half time!?!
