So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Yeah we had a poor performance. To say we're one of the worst sides you've seen this season though? Fishing or what.

Needless to say, both teams will no doubt be scrapping in another season of mediocrity next season. That goes for Wednesday too. We can tell you're all getting excited you're in the heady heights of play off realms though! Woop woop!

Wednesday finished last season in the play off places, and got to Wembley. Leeds are going well this season; I'm not sure it is excitement, it is a realistic expectation because of performances and results (in Wednesday's case, investment too).

As I've said; I think (imho), Wednesday are a team in the ascendancy (investment, good squad). I think Leeds are over achieving when you look at their resources / squad, however they have a manager whom is excellent at this level, and potential investment. Derby are almost the opposite; they have a good squad, investment, but a chairman whom meddles too much and have appointed underwhelming managers.

I think we are overachieving massively, although I'm questioning the standard around us. I think it's all of a muchness really and apart from Brighton and Newcastle no one stands out from 3rd to 8th. Fulham look the best if any.

Sheff Wed have been poor for a lot of games this season but grind out results, mainly on experience no doubt, I would imagine this will need to improve. I can see Reading/Huddersfield and potentially us falling off the pace, obviously I'd be really disappointed now.

We need to spend really to keep up with the likes of Wed and Derby. We need cover for Wood, replace Doukara and Wood. Our midfield and defence is excellent.

You could have put your house on Preston winning today. We never beat them. Good team too. Could be dark horses for Play-offs. I've been impressed with them each time I've seen them on tv this season

I only listened to it on the radio. Clear we missed a few first teamers like Dunk and worryingly(cos it looks like he might be off) Stephens.

We were due a loss.

I agree Wednesday have had to grind out results this season and have underperformed compared to our ability and potential (which we showed at times last season, and this in flashes).

I sort of agree with the much of a muchness, I think it is more due to certain sides underperforming, and the infinite ability to 'go on a run' in the Championship and propel up the league.

Yep, thought Preston have looked ok this season, organised and work hard.

What I missed from my post is that I look at Leeds like Leicester last season, I keep expecting them to slip up and they don't, each challenge they seem to keep getting results. I'm not expecting the same glory that they achieved but play offs in itself would be a great feat, we probably had better odds at getting relegated!

So true. However, I disagree about expectations of Leeds or Wednesday. Like Andy said, it's Brighton and Toon, everyone else shouldn't expect anything. They're all mediocre at best.

Quality performance, should have scored way more. Derby one of the worst sides I've seen this season, if not the worst.

Everything seemed to click on Friday, I think we just made them look bad. should have probably been 2 or 3, but I'll take 1-0 against anyone. Rotherham have to be the worst I've seen this season.

I was at the Leeds v Derby game on friday, that was the best football I have seen us play for many a year. Derby have spent money as well. Viera is another gem in the making. We also had 3 right backs and 1 centre back in the back four.

Who cares about FFP anyway? ;)

An initial review of the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship FFP submissions indicates that all clubs met the ‘Fair Play Requirement’ introduced under the competition rules in 2012.

Brighton & Hove Albion confirmed that the club had complied with FFP rules when the annual accounts were published earlier this month, and the EFL have now confirmed 22 of 24 clubs have shown they have complied - with two submissions still outstanding.

It would mean for the first time since the FFP regulations were agreed by all league clubs, that no team from the Championship (who provided a submission) will exceed the maximum permitted deviation, which was set last season at £13m (£5m loss plus £8m shareholder investment).

Dreading Friday night as a Wednesday fan, if I'm honest. I never enjoy watching our games on TV anyway, but I expect Brighton will be right up for it, partly due to last season but mainly after losing the other day.

One of three things will happen:

1) We'll click like we know we can. We'll pass and move quickly, the flowing football will be back and it'll finish something like 4:3 - to either side.

2) We'll play it like we did at Newcastle. Defend well, close the spaces and try and nick a goal. I'll be interested to see how Winall fits into that style.

3) We'll produce the kind of performance we have far too often this season. We won't get going for an hour by which point we could be a couple of goals down, and it'll be too late.

With this Wednesday team, I wouldn't want to predict which of those three it will be. The fact we're still clear in sixth is amazing to me. Maybe we've finally managed to find that quality of being able to grind results out that everyone else always seemed to have.

Option 2 for me. I reckon it'll be a 1-1 draw.

There are more Wednesday fans! Woo.

Not looking forward to playing Brighton, same goes for any of the 'top 6' sides. Wednesday are too inconsistent, and in my opinion, consistently underperforming this season.

Anyway; I feel like option two will be what Carlos will want as he seems hell bent on 4-4-2.

Add me to the people not looking forward to tonight, but for a different reason. This is one of our best seasons ever. Playing great, scoring goals, long unbeaten run, going for promotion.... And Southern Rail are ruining it. They have created a really bad feeling for a lot of fans going to games. God knows what time I'll have to leave to get there tonight, or what time I'll get home... If they even bother sending any trains this time.

I'll go for a tight game 1-1 or 1-0 either way.
