So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

I don't have any words left to describe Villa.

2 down at home to Barnsley, clawed one back before HT but in serious trouble. We had 24 shots, 18 on target and are losing.

This is what frustrates me. That team looks good on paper, but they just don't seem to work together. This season is done for us, we basically need to stave off relegation and work on next year. I think once Bruce gets his first 11 sorted and spends the summer doing things the way he wants then we'll be strong next season. Get Newcastle out of there and we shouldn't really have much trouble.
 
Terrible game for us. Ipswich scored early and it was just a matter of us attacking for the rest of the game, minus a few set pieces. Murray hit the inside of the post on the 90th and I was sure we'd won it....

Worst ref I've seen this season didn't let the game flow at all, which really didn't suit us at all. Made some baffling decisions for both teams. Ipswich had 5 yellow cards in the first half and probably should have had two at most. Every time a player went down it was a foul. Loved the attention.
 
I'm happy Newcastle got a point at Norwich, we have such a ridiculous run in we need all the favours we can get. We won't get above Hudds/Reading so have to just keep looking below us.

There's no chance you'll be relegated mate. I don't think you guys need to spend big - Villa just need the current squad to gel. If you can get McCormack's head straight he'll be a top, top Championship striker for you.

Extacty my thoughts. Town and Wednesday probably have the easiest run ins, Norwich and Leeds have the hardest (on paper, of course).

Edit: This is out of the PO contenders, not looking at Newcastle / Brighton.

I know mate, I couldn't believe it! He used to score for fun against Forest when playing for us ;)

Haven't a fog what's up with the guy and why his attitude was / is all wrong.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat as a backup / different option to Wood.
 
I'm just hoping our dodgy spell is over now...The result today really took some of the pressure off of the next two game- Reading and Newcastle at home!!

Huddersfield are the team to watch though. Not sure they will fall away as people have been saying for ages.

Top 6 atm looks like top 6 to me.
 
You're safe for auto now, it's just a race for the title against Newcastle. Town will push you both till the end, but I just can't see them breaking through into 2nd.

Town and Reading are solid and will be in the POs, but I have a feeling Fulham will sneak into the POs pushing out either Wednesday or Leeds.

Massive, massive game up for us next against Wednesday at Elland Road.
