So the summer weather is upon us, Any non baseball cap head wear suggestions

Nothing, as long as you’re under 18 or a yank

I was circa 60-61 the last time that we were in Port St. Lucie, FL, and I’m not a yank, plus I had, and still have, plenty of barnet.
It's wasn’t as thick as it was when I was 45-50 though, so the sun was bashing my crown like Thor’s hammer.
I gave in and hit a local supermarket, coming out with a Baltimore Orioles ball cap.
The only alternative had been a Boston Red Sox cap, and out of respect for my friends in NYC who were Yankee fans, I couldn’t wear one of those.

I've never understood sports team loyalties tbh, I'm supposed to be a Celtic fan but I couldn't care less tbh, I suppose it's worse here as it's all steeped in religion, even though most of them haven't seen the inside of a church/chapel since they've left school.

Terminal you'd better stat it all out I got a 3 week ban for posting the word the same way you did, seriously that was the reason given lol
Let’s add some more detail here. You’d been previously suspended twelve times for not starring out swear words.

It's time to embrace your baldness and be free.

haha very good :p
I'm too old now to be wearing high street fashion brands, especially Under Armour lol

Although wearing one of those, how many times a day would people be asking if you were a hologram or not?

Just a regular canvas hat the ones you find in beach gear shops wil do. Air holes for ventilation or it will get sweaty. Wide brimmed if you want to keep sunburn off face/neck

My choice is the Stetson El Presidente:

Goes well with my black cherry Luchesse 1883s.

I actually bought a genuine stetson hat once (2nd hand cheap off eBay) and was really disappointed. They're heavy and they're uncomfortably hot (they're made of felt, that is, wool. Really hot.) Hollywood stereotypes have a lot to answer for.

I’ve got one as well and I agree with this. The Stetson (ten gallon hat) wasn’t the most popular hat in the Wild West, that was the Derby.

God this thread has turned into how to be old.

Next we'll be recommending zip off trouser shorts.
