Our office is behind the service station of the Old Severn Bridge just off the M48. This morning at work we had about a dozen caravans pull up into our carpark, driving through the teeth we have at the exit, a few were broken and there's a barrier on the way in. So, after calling the police, there's nothing that can be done, as it's private land it is a civil matter apparantly! So now we have young kids and a load of dogs running about the place. Did I forget to mention the horse:confused:

Googling "get off my land" gives us:

start some fires and burn stuff taht is A) stupidly hot and B) give out horrible chocking smog.

Absolutely detest travellers and what this country allows them to do.

The council was so cleaver they let them stay and build by my work of place, which is a scrap metal place, where we turn over 10's of thousands of tons a year.

When I worked in a DIY store years ago about 6 caravans turned up to stay for about 6 weeks. Cleared off the day they were due to be evicted. The mess they left behind . Needless to say barriers were fitted shortly afterwards.

So is tresspass a civil matter.....so they can come on my garden and I can do nothing ?????

pretty much, the only time police can do anything about trespassing is if it on hm land.

would recommend making their live hell like starting the day at 5 am with sounds of horns etc
do u have morning shift if so tell them to make as much noise as possible, ****** dont like morning sunshine.

Unlucky, the bigger problem is when they leave. A local school near me was left with damage and clean up costs worth £15,000 when they moved in on their sports field.

Is there such a thing of Gypsy insurance?

I used to work for a printers, there was an area between the main building and a dual carriageway that was public land, one morning we arrived to find loads of caravans etc on the grass.

As we worked a night shift we made sure we made plenty of noise so they couldn't get any sleep, we had a stereo by the backdoor and these huge metal crates, used for storing paper - they made a great noise when - accidentally - dropped.

Needless to say - they didn't stay long - After they left a barrier went up along with some nice landscaped mounds so they couldn't get back in.
