I guess it depends if you care if your system gets screwed. If there is nothing of value or any personal / sensitive data e.c.t then it probably dosnt matter. But you are a fool if you use it for important things unprotected.

No ghosting doesn't mean you used Norton Ghost there are lots of programs to use.

LOL well I used True Acronis Image not Norton.

I imagine it's because you are using the word "Ghost" instead of Clone or Re-image. Technically Norton Ghost is the only ghosting program out there, Like Hoover is to Vacuum Cleaners

Anyway, it's your choice about the AV software.
Personally if I was in a warzone, I'd wear a Kevlar vest than just a T-Shirt, even if I didn't get shot at. Some people don't want to take needless risks, others don't want to be slowed down.
