Ditto, but then I have the same laptop but with the older T2500 Duo CPU.
Its the graphics that pull it right down, probably the same for yourself I expect.
Still, I only use it for internet stuff and a bit of Office type stuff really.

DataVampire - 5.3 is a great score!! If you have anything above 5 you don't need to change anything.
 
3.1 on my Dell Inspiron 6400, Intel Core Duo T2300 at 1.66GHz, 2GB RAM, on board Intel 945 GM graphics. Like most people, it's the onboard graphics that's pulling it down:
