My point was that if England do witn, the feel good factor and good mood of the country can only last so long. The Roman emperors knew that appeasing the people with gladiatorial events and the good mood of the people arising from a victorious general's victory parade could only last for so long In a more modern perspective, Engladnd winning tomoorow night can onlykeep the people in a good mood for so lon and keeping us in constant lockdown isn't helping the mood of the country.

Well I mean...to be fair, I dont need to make comparisons with a civilization from 2000 years ago to know that any boost from England winning will be temporary, it obviously will only be temporary. It is the nature of life to be transient. Everything is temporary, any mood boost from the end of lockdown is equally as temporary. Any mood boost, from any means, is temporary, thats obvious and doesnt need saying or comparing to Roman logic

It has helped keep the scum away. It's resulted in quieter roads due to fewer unnecessary journeys. A better time for wildlife and the environment.

I'm lucky that while I have to work Sunday night, starting around the final whistle time , my supervisor is putting it on his laptop, so I will be going in early to watch it all.
Wouldn't have a sickie because we have few staff and don't get paid for sick days as far as I know.

I don't understand how people that use sick days for minimal notice holidays instead still have their job.

In our midlands team, there is 8 off out of 11 lol. Some had already booked it off to be fair but there was a few that decided on Sunday evening to not come in.
