Solar panel production figures

Sun still out so not closed the day yet, but it came out at 6pm which is after ronski has had it all day *shakes fist at sky*. Come on you West panels!

11.5 today which is actually a bit more than the estimates said I'd get, pretty happy with that, looks like a decent standing on the pvoutout ranks today.

Ron-skis system appears to have stolen the great weather though! I suggest we form a coalition, this is aggressive expansion, we need to band together to do what we can to slow him down!

@katie279 - send William Wallace!

Send in the pigeon poop….

17.8 today
not really sure how it managed that but it did

Not really sure whats up with my Octopus export was expecting it to kick in today but its saying "We are now connecting to your smart meter in order to receive half-hourly export data. Once this is complete we can start crediting you"
Maybe I need to wait until tomorrow to see its actually got readings

Yes, export data isnt live, so you will get it on the app or website the next day

We got 13.7kwh today which is a lot lower than yesterday but still enough to largely run the house from about 7:45 and keep going until about 9 tonight.

Just over half of yesterday’s at 15.7kwh today. If this weather was safe n jan think I wouldn’t even have got more than 5 so there is a positive in there some where

Not sure what most of you have been playing at today ;)

22kWh forecast, 40.07kWh generated and 23kWh exported. Third day in a row with over 40kWh, could I make over 1000kWh in one month?

No sun to be seen here. See Kent had plenty of clear skies till the start of the clouds I had this morning reach there around 4pm :(

There was some thin cloud all day, did much better than I expected. Tomorrows only forecast for 9.2kWh, I'm going to take a chance and not charge the battery.

Sun totally buggered off. 4.5kWh. On the plus side had a Hildebrand IHD delivered today, so should soon have realtime import and export data added to my HA setup

Haha stop hogging all the light. 20.6 here!

18 tomorrow, 40 Friday. Hopefully get through the whole week off grid whilst waiting for flux to get enabled.

What are you all using for forecasts? Solcast?
I use https://forecast.solar/ although I have it integrated into my Victron system via Node Red

Forecast-Solar-2023-04-05.jpg

I use solcast with my own modifications on the output to better predict the solar in home assistant.

It does remind me actually, I set up a weather station a couple of months ago that sends dozens of measurements to HA from the garden every few seconds, so I want to use this to better predict solar output (we tend to get significantly better weather than the forecast often predicts, so thinking I can use this data Vs forecast to create a crude offset/tighter prediction)

Another project for the list!! But not before I reveal the Solar Dragon of Ron-Ski which I just need to make some finishing touches too....!

I'm waiting in anticipation :) Hows the plans coming along for the panels on the out building? Did you draw it in Easy PV?

Have solar guys coming to do a bunch of other electrical work in next few weeks, so options they're sizing are:

a) panels along the veranda - West facing and hoping I can get another 8-9 here

b) garden room - flat roof, so based on easy pv, I reckon 12 might be the most efficient and just accept it's south south east facing.

So fingers crossed that'll give us some options...
