Solar panel production figures

OK, who sent these round???

Seagulls.jpg
I wondered were they had gone…our local lake seemed to have a few missing the other day (ps and yes we do have seagulls up here around the two local lakes in the area)

we generated 14.5kwh today. only exported 3kwh. the last 3 days we have used a lot of electricity having come back from a week's holiday abroad (2 adults and a child) combined with full bedding load. 5 loads of washing 3 in the tumble drier and 2 on a heated airer combined with 2 hrs of ironing uses a lot of electricity.

but with a bit of balancing it out over Friday Saturday and Sunday we managed to do it all using the power from the sun.

This thread is for posting how much energy your solar panels have produced and their efficiency, as the "Solar panels and battery - any real world recommendations" thread is getting rather swamped with these kind of posts.

If posting how much you've produced it would be useful for others to post what size system you have, and of course a rough location is always useful.

You can also post your efficiency, divide the kWh production figure by your system size.

There is also a Overclockers UK PV Output team which anyone can join if you can get your data uploaded.
Hi
i just created an account on PVOutput.... do i have to enter the previous day in manually or is there a way to get my inverter to send the data automatically the same way it does to my solis app? if it can be automated i will join, if not however i wont bother.

I don't know of a direct method to get the data from soliscloud into pvoutput. You'd need an intermediary device to call the Soliscloud API and push the data to pvoutput. This can be either a script, such as this https://github.com/ZuinigeRijder/SolisCloud2PVOutput. Or you can have Home Assistant grabbing data from Soliscloud, and then configure Home assistant to push the updates to the pvoutput API.

Home Assistant is what most of us use, most of the inverters don't seem to have support for natively sending data to pvoutput.

Method will differ between inverters, but getting data into Home Assistant is really the 1st step.

I run my Home Assistant as a docker container on my NAS, but I know people can also run them on RPI devices.

Now correctly on the way to ronski's roof
Now that looks like they could do some actual damage, guess someone needs to put a fence around their array.

You might as well cancel the goats, the clouds are doing a good job of blocking the sun

@bigmike20vt as others have said, you need an intermediary device.
