Solar panel production figures

I was wondering if others that have inverters in warm periods added some active cooling? I could get a couple of vented tiles or use similar to a bathroom extractor fan.

Its interesting as my panels (assume most are the same) are not supposed to be THAT sensitive to temp.
IIRC its 1.5% per 10C so not really that much diff.
But they really seem to be supressed when they are in the sun all day long.

Im going to record again today, I am basically equal now and still generating at 1.5kw so should be in the 31-32 range.

25.5kwh generated

22kwh exported

1kwh imported.

slow start to the day but a banging afternoon

I am at the coast and the weather was perfect all day so win win there

am at 520 for the month so far I reckon I will manage 600 the way the weather is looking

Another awesome day. 32.6kWh generated, 18.4kWh exported and 0.1kWh imported.

That's 5 out of the last 8 days above 30kWh now. It was also nice to run the air con free of charge.

Probably the heat - makes your panels less efficient.

Yeah but it’s less than 2 degrees ambient - that would seem unlikely to cause a 10% drop off in efficiency, especially given one of the selling points of the Q.Cell quantum is better temperature handling. Perhaps for whatever reason the panels were hotter but there was a bit of a breeze as yesterday so dunno!

Yeh, but whats your panel temps, according to my inverter they were 48.2 deg today

No way of measuring my panel temps, didn’t even know any kit does that! I have the inverter internal temperature but nothing to do with panel temps.

Need 69kwhs over the next 4 days to break 500kwhs for the month…….come on sun, shine brightly in these welsh mountains.

I wish you luck.

Tropical weather it seems from some of you's. A fair 19.7 with patchy sun till about 3pm. Next week hopefully get some proper days.

OK will have a scan to see what I can butcher too. I was thinking of cooling the area though as the loft gets warm this time of year so ambient way higher than living area.

As long as you get airflow over the heatsink that should be more than enough. Is your inverter in the loft - do you have any air flow currently in the loft? I'm guessing you've for a cold loft?
