As long as you get airflow over the heatsink that should be more than enough. Is your inverter in the loft - do you have any air flow currently in the loft? I'm guessing you've for a cold loft?
It pretty sweaty up there in the summer, I only know now as when it was installed end of last summer I seen the inverter temp reading as was like hmmm. I can assist that heatsink area on the back of it but best way would be to keep the environment cooler in the first place so I seen I could replace a roof tile with a vented one and it can duct+fan heat out.
