Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Mine was never that bad, maybe 90-100% jump. they fixed the issue I had with the graph not showing the actual data when you hovered over it, but that was fixed within days.

Well if everything goes to plan it is being decommissioned next month, and passed/sold on to its new owner and I'll only have myself to blame when something goes wrong with my new kit. :p

This plus some more bits n bobs, but the main items are listed here

JA Solar 390 Black Frame solar panel x14

SolaX X1 High Voltage Hybrid 5.0T inverter x1

**NET** Emlite Bi-directional Meter ECA2.nv x1

iBoost + x1

Solax Meter Chint / Eastron SDM 230-Modbus x1

SolaX Triple 5.8kWh LFP Battery (Master Console) x1

SolaX Triple 5.8kWh LFP Battery (Slave Console) x1

That sounds like a nice system. I’ve heard good reports of Solax but nobody local to me deals with them. Are you using a national company?

Had a quote of £12k for:

5.6kw panels (14*405 Longi black)
Solis 5G 5kw inverter
Schletter mounting
3.6kw Fox charge controller
3 x 2.6 KWH HV2600 Fox battery

(Fully inclusive price)

Does this seem reasonable? Had a slightly cheaper quote (11.2k) for similar spec but using JA panels and Givenergy batteries.

Located near St Andrews

Well I've really gone and done it now, just ordered 16 Grade A Eve 280ah cells (from the UK not from China), also ordered a BMS, battery tester and resistance/impedance tester (these are from China).

16 x 280ah at 48v = 13.44kWh battery

When I get time I will start a proper thread.

Nice one, and as your voltage will be over 52v for 85% of the time, you have 14.56kWh, don't think I've seen mine below 26v even at 30%(8Spack)

Guys,

I've moved in now. My 13m workshop has a South facing roof. Where do I start to understand the steps to put panels on the cement fibre roof and hook it all up?

Anyway fancy being paid in beers to advise

Yes a reasonable price. Do you have enough battery storage to cover your daily needs?

If not and if the Solis is Hybrid I’d be tempted to ask for 3x PylonTech 3.5kwh batteries instead. Should Be a similar price and they are rock solid batteries.
