60GB should be ample!

People buy SSD's as boot drives which is why 60GB and 120GB are the most popular sizes. As people still use a mechanical drive for storage.

I have a 64gb M4 (59.5gb formatted) in my mini-desktop without a mechanical drive and it is ample for all my programs, documents, even a load of photo albums, so for a laptop I'd imagine it'd be fine.

WABSP on top of that!

all you lot complaining is funny, this opens up all possibilities for say ps3 usage, old laptops server boot disks etc

I see the Samsungs come with Norton Ghost to help transfer everything over before removing the HDD. Whats the method for the OCZ's? Is it in anyway more difficult. Ive been quite reluctant to even open up my MBP but i know the SSD will be a worth while install for performance!

anyone who is serious in gaming wont even look at this size imo ... silly low price i agree but useless for the folks with a proper steam library

Crazy question, is it worth buying a couple of these and having multiple games drives? Or is it a bit of "mess" doing it that way?
Wouldve been nice to have one 128 or 256GB drive :|

Speak for the majority but I use raided 256gb samsung 830 series ssds as non crucial storage and games drives in raid 0 too.

Very cheap and great for laptops I would have thought but as mentioned by others not too good in a gaming rig. I had one in my old system and it filled up before I could make a coffee :D

Got the sandisk 60GB when you guys had them on offer so I'm all set for super small drives, was hoping for something nice in a size 256GB or even an epic deal on a 512GB as fast game storage - neverless this is going to be useful for plenty of people out there looking to breathe new life into ageing devices.

Perfect move for me to go for an SSD for my music production and odd game here n there. Thanks overclockers, you just swayed me.
