Someone is using my email address

It's staggering what I'm reading here. Someone who is old enough to use gambling sites (18+) should be mindful on what they're typing in for their email address. Also, the internet has been mainstream since the mid-90s, so if they're 18, or even 28, then the internet has been around for their entire life.
I've got their date of birth, they were born in 1973

Na - PAK hijacking can easily defeat that.
I've been a victim of sim swap...On my O2 Business account... We had an issue a few years ago when a couple of Iphones were added to my account. Got that stopped.. Then almost 12 months later I get a message saying my sim will be swapped in the next few mins and boom phone goes offline... Paypal gets hacked and £1500 gets spent at IKEA.
O2 were useless. Couldn't tell me how someone had accessed our account... It wasn't via phishing or the web so looks like it was internal.
I now have 2 sims. One for personal and one business and each is the others back up phone number on different providers. So if that were to happen again they would need to get into 2 different providers accounts

Yep... SMS 2FA is about as secure as unlocked front door nowadays.

My email is literally 1 letter and 17 numbers and I can say it off the top of my head, never had an issue on my CV.

I would automatically throw your cv in the bin if I ever saw an email address like that on it.
Just tells me you are an idiot and were not worth my time.
With how easy information is stolen it would be best to have high numerical / special character emails but also passwords.
I will be working for CISCO soon.

The hardest part is doing lengthy +15 character passwords. I can do it but only varies to a small degree. And these are ones I remember off the top of my head.
The variance is what is the hardest to remember. But memory in your mind is the ultimate safe method.

Why is that secure? lol I take your CV, take your email address and add it to some spam mailing lists.

Just shows no one can trust you as a company as your fixed mindset subjects people to your lack of learning.
If you throw people under the bus this easily, you were not worth the time of most people anyway, don't go crying when your work is harder because you took on literal imbeciles due to a factor which has nothing to do with the person.
It's better to ask questions, perhaps reply with, is this your email? May I ask why it is the way it is? No doubt someone with an email like mine who answers honestly would present the information just as I did here.

It's your loss in the end, more jobs in the sea.

What?

I would, too. And seeing him argue his point here it proves we'd be dodging a bullet in the process ;)
Yes people with a brain are scary.
What times we live in.
Laziness is rife.

Why are people who are capable depressed? Why are they such sobbers? We have people above us like these clowns keeping us from taking over and improving things. These people fear us as their life of comfort and ease is about to change, fear of change.
Don't worry though, death comes to us all.
