Ah, so when they said 3D levels like Sonic Adventure, they meant the '2.5D, run on a tramlines but with 3D graphics' kind of levels. Thats good to know.

The last thing I wanted to do was run around a fully open 3D world trying to find bits of crystal again. But what's in that video looks good.

This might have got my attention now... What does the collectors edition get you?
 
CE comes with a model with the new sonic look and old sonic look, art book, a numbered ring :p soundtrack, some DLC and a groovy looking box :D

Old Sonic > New Sonic!

Any ideas on price? The Jungle Store has the CE down as being cheaper than the game itself, which clearly can't be right.

Have you seen the price though? £80 IIRC on the rainforest.

New demo hurt my eyes on the 2D level. With the amount of other games coming out this is an easy pass for me

The £35 vs £20 on PC issue also tempts me away from a console version. But then I would definitely need to play this on my big TV :(

I'll grab the demo tonight and have a look.
 
yea I got it from Amazon, I got the ps3 ver which got knocked down to £74. Plus I had a gift voucher which I got for my bday and still havnt used so that was £40 off it. So it cost me really £34 which I was happy with tbh :)

That said I still most likely would have bought it even if I didnt have the voucher because I love sonic :D I WANT MY GOLD RING !!! lol

Demo is fun though deffo worth a go. It is extremely fast which I love :) Bring on next friday !

I think you can still pre order the PC version for about £14 and its Steamworks too.
 
They ran out of stock buddy :p there was only a couple of shops that were doing the CE and well they have all sold out. I follow sonic stadium and when they said the CE was avaliable I bought one. About a day later amazon had sold out. Shopto had some go up a few weeks back and again after about a day they had also sold out. Lot of sonic fans out there it would seem :)
 
Played the Demo.

Its ok. Good and fast, but does suffer from the usual 3D game problem of missing a jump and losing all rhythm or momentum.

I'll think about it
 
I want this game now! Not decided if I'm getting it on PC or 360 yet, but will be picking up the 3DS version as that's looking pretty good :)
 
I've played through the demo a few times and haven't managed to convince myself its worth £35. I'm actually considering Sonic 4 for £6.50 instead as the 3D level in the Generations demo annoyed me.
