sooooo many secrets this season. enjoying it, not many episodes left now, i think eventual war with pope is gonna come next season or the one after if he is to do 7seasons

After the rooftop scene he turns around after 'dealing' with that guy and gives this total psycho look like he really enjoyed that... think we'll see him start to end up like Clay.

The Clay/Gemma/young Teller family storyline is a bit too predictable. I said to my wife when Clay lied for Gemma 'I bet it will come out and Jax will use Gemma to spy on Clay'.

Was quite obvious what was going to happen to Chibs but was intense - he's a great actor IMO.
 
After all the death this season I actually thought there might be a chance he would kill Chibbs

Yea, I agree although none of the main characters go out quietly so to speak, look at Opie.

Even Kenny Johnson (Kozik/Lem) went out in a blaze of glory and he was only a minor character.

There hadn't been enough buildup with Chibbs to just off him in that way.

I was actually going to fling something at the TV if he was killed.... His character is good. Always liked it and him as an actor.

As for this role - he is a great actor (been in quite a few films you wouldn't expect) but, to be fair, he is really just being himself about 25 years ago when he was growing up in Easterhouse, Glasgow :D.... I mean this in a good way :)
 
It's the reason his character is called "Chibs" in the show. Chibs is Glasgow slang albeit it is not necessarily meaning "slashed" e.g.

"He's been chibbed" - could mean he has been slashed, or even just struck (usually about the face/head) with any weapon e.g. lump of wood
"You're getting chibbed" or, more likely, "You're getting a f-ing chibbing" (replace f-ing with the right word ;)) - same as above really.

I can only imagine Flanagan had some input with this as, outside of Glasgow, it's not a well known term IMO. Sutter stated he allowed the actors to have input in their characters. Flanagan said that Sutter had Chibs as what the Yanks see Scots i.e. all "och man" and crap like that so he was happy that he was allowed to say "no thanks, lets do it this way" and it works really well IMO.

In amongst all the Yank accents, you can't help but smile/be surprised (right word?) when a broad Glaswegian accent butts in with "here you ya *******, you wanting done in?" :D
