i just had to flash 016 dek with omnius

then do a restore with seus

now im about to try the debranding trick with 016 uk

then i may finally be able to upgrade

edit - lol and surprise surprise installation failed. been having that problem with seus ever since i got this new handset

I had some that Andy put up when all the updating started. Put them back on using the SEUS trick and then about phone/update...

Now Downloading

I had that problem a few times. I un installed SEUS and reinstalled it. Fixed it for me.

Mine was saying something about battery not been fully charged :confused:

has anyone got a link to either 014 or 016 uk for use with omnius ? no idea whats wrong with seus , oh mine is saying same thing so ill try re installing

you must be doing something wrong mate, i've updated to uk016 from swedish 020 using seus method, then downloaded the uk 020..its now installing no problems what so ever.

yep it is uk generic rather than for example uk vodafone , well assuming your going from 016 gerneric.

How? I have checked my phone ("Menu, Back, Back, Menu, Back, Menu, Menu, Back") and it says I have UK generic 016 installed. Run update service (which I have downloaded again just to be sure) and it always says it is up to date.

are u connected to 3g? i used wifi rather then 3g... not sure if this will help!

all done! took about 17mins from start download of the uk 020 to installed. love not having them swedish apps on my phone

goods news. devs are finally listening to advice and are going to scrap all the un needed total crap from their root procedure

they say tonight there will be a new method of just the new 020 uk firmware + root + superuser

so the same as just running step 1 and 2 from the last guide (which is what i did ) except UK r2b 020 instead of japanese r1b 025

Special moment, kept seeing OTA and wondering what the heck it meant. Just realised what it means and that I can update the phone without a PC/SEUS. Just checked and it says update is available
