*** Sony Xperia Z5 ***

I honestly believe the overheating issue has been blown way out of proportion by media... There's 6 z3's and 2 z3+ in the office here and only one guy says he gets overheating if playing intensive games for a good 30 mins and even then it's intermittent for him. Surely it can't be that widespread

The time it takes to overheat isn't relevant. It overheats.

In what way is that not an issue to you? it will be throttling way before you see any sort of app crash, so what's the point in having a high end chip?

The Z3+ that I used got noticably warm after just browsing through the UI for a few minutes.

Playing a five minute game made me want to put the phone down as the heat started to concern me.

In the way that 7/8 say they get no overheating whatsoever and 1/8 says "sometimes" he gets overheating if he's playing an intensive game. Not really how that translates into omg major chip problems. I don't own one so I can't comment personally, but from what I've read and from the 8 who own it and are in my vicinity, 7/8 say no problems whatsoever and these are geeks who run all kinds of crap on their phones

if you search for any phone on the net including s6's you'll find people complaining of overheating, doesn't mean it's a widespread issue.

Hirai has just announced the Xperia Z5! It features a 5.2" display, a 23 megapixel camera sensor and our fastest autofocus yet. It also boasts a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone for ultimate security.

It doesn't just stop at the Z5. There's also the Z5 Compact, which boasts the same features as the Z5 but in a more compact 4.6" display, and the Z5 Premium, the first smartphone to have a 5.5" 4K display!

sounds good

its crazy that were up to 4k phones and a 23mp camera lol. The only downsides i can see at the moment is 3gb of ram and the Snapdragon 810. I would have expected 4GB and more processing power for a 4k screen.
