*** Sony Xperia Z5 ***

It makes absolutely no sense when the screen is 5.5 inches.
For someone who is interested in VR it makes perfect sense and i would imagine by this time next year we will have a lot of 4k screens...obviously to some it wont who arn't interested in things like that but having personally tried VR on a 1440p screen it still needed a higher res screen. I still think recording 4k video and being able to play it back accurately on a 4k screen is a plus. If the note 6 next year sticks with no SD card slot then i may end up going for one of these as they look great.

Well it's definitely between this and the Note 5 for me. I've seen about 10 reviews of the Samsung, just waiting for the Sony reviews... Like to see how good the camera is.

Samsung Galaxy Notes 5/S6 Edge+ uses the Sony camera sensors right? and it was rated excellent. So this should be even better??

I need to see how the camera performs, usually the critical weak spot for Sony phones.

Z5 does look great. If it were £100 cheaper I'd just buy it. But at twice the price of a poverty spec Moto X Play, that's a bit more difficult to justify. Not sure I can wait the 5 months or so for the price to come down enough either.

How is the actual software side of things on these phones? Samsung have been extremely poor and very slow with there software updates on the note 4 that isn't even barely a year old and its one of the things that's put me off going with them again.

This is a completely new camera module so yeah I'd expect it to be way better at both focusing (we know this anyway in this area) and low light noise given the guys who worked on it are in Sony Alpha labs, their Alpha DSLR cameras can nearly see in the dark.

Damn, thought i'd heard sony were pulling out of the phone market, for once i'm glad i'm wrong, nice to see something a bit better looking than a samsung and not an apple at the high end table (samsungs are good but god their designs look dated now).

Might be tempted by one of these when if my z2 ever dies (still rocking a 5 day battery life and amazingly that glass is incredibly resiststant)

Also, if sony can make an oled screened tablet you can take my money.

4k!that's crazy. I know why they do it.
But to me is just waste of battery. I see it as nothing but a drawback

Still it's fine to have the offering
II really do wish I got on with the ergonomics of this phone.

Also, looks like causing Samsung more deserved pain

I'll be keeping a sharp eye on the reviews regarding the camera. The sad thing is waiting until November for the release :(
