*** Sony Xperia Z5 ***

My z3 is in perfect condition, how much am I likely to get for it 2nd hand and is now a good time to sell before the price drops further? I have the money so ideally want to know the best time to keep upgrading phones. Ty

Not sure, the price of a new one is slowly creeping downwards on third party sites. Having said that, I noticed this morning on amazon the price if you buy directly from sony plummeted from £399 to £335 so it looks likes the price drops might start increasing now.

I'd say you might struggle to sell a used one so close to the launch of the Z5 as people either took the plunge already or are going to wait to see what happens to the price after the launch in 2 weeks.

If you wanted a quick sale, maybe you could dump it for £150-200. Having a quick look on Ebay there's a lot auctioning atm for £110-150 but with still a day or two to go until bidding ends.

For a quick sale you have places like 02 recycle . I've used them few times you wont get as much as private sale tho :(

Correct. Sell sooner then buy something cheap as a stop gap. Thats what I did :D

They're actually holding their values pretty damn well tbh.

Cheapest local source with D6603 (International version) is £335 on amazon but the others are all £400+.

Even if they do drop after the Z5 is launched - I doubt they will drop more than 10-15% at least for a year, looking at the historical price changes when new phone models are released.

If you take £335 to be the baseline (and I'm not sure that's fair as there's only one supplier doing them for that price) then that might mean you'd see the price fall to £285-£300 in 12 months, higher if you take the other average prices as the baseline.

Were talking about resale value though.

Still £34pcm on Mobiles.co.uk on O2 for new customers, Unlimited texts, Calls and 5GB 4G. £25 upfront but there is a £10 voucher floating about. I smashed the screen of my HTC One today which made up my mind and Three do not seem to be getting it in stock. Annoyingly.
