Sorry AMD :(

Exactly my thinking if I'm honest. Your GPU choice is just like your choice of religion, if you find one that works for you and makes you happiest, that's brilliant and I couldn't be happier for you. Just don't understand those people who feel the need to belittle other people's choices or try to force/coerce/bully others to agree with them.

So basically I change my religion every year in order to get better spiritual performance and pick the religion offering the best bang/buck for my soul?

Yeah that sounds like me :D

Can't say I've ever had much coil whine with any cards I've had, except maybe a 4870x2.
The first 7950 (Powercolour PCS+) used to make an arcing noise when voltage was raised like.

OP - so long as you end up with a PC you're happy with, then it will all be worth it. Good luck with the next cards mate. :)

well said!

Just ordered 2 titan blacks... feels like ive stabbed myself in betrayal!

Unfortunately after going through the best part of 30 cards and 3 psus to find a coil whine free card, I have 1 so far.

Time to give green a try....

Why not 2 x 780 Ti's instead ? There's not that much between them.

Having spent a couple of years in returns and technical here at OcUK no brand is perfect no one company is coil whine free but certain brands sold in special offers seem to have a much higher return rate for it although you sell more you get more back so to speak.

29 AMD with coil whine-sounds about right.:p

If you weren't a brand defender, it would be a funny statement.;)

When you see people posting images of salt - which means to "take his statement with a pinch of salt", which in turn means you don't believe him or find it hard to believe, I consider that pretty pathetic in truth but each to their own and I never drop to that level and if someone has had a bad run with coil whine, I am more sympathetic and wouldn't feel the need to try and belittle someone.

I would be the same vice versa by the way.

#nonsense

It's ok when you post the funny pics though.:cool:

Don't know whether your taking the recycled lager or attempting to be serious, if it's the latter, I'll shake my leg and play a tune.

I have said my bit and with the OP getting a GPU that doesn't have coil whine, I am pleased for him. If he has any issues, I will try and help him, as I do any gamer and I will post silly gifs when it is appropriate and not to try and belittle someone.
