Sorry, but my thoughts are NOT with their families!

Erm...

Yes I am for real. They're not scum. I had experience of people worse than petty thieves and I'd don't usually wish a bloody death on them. Like I said, its a car. You lot care more about someone else's money than you do someone's life.
.

Sorry but in my eyes you are wrong. It's not as if these people were stealing food because they were dying of starvation - that kind of theft is 'petty' and wrong, but understandable.

Stealing someone else's property just for the sake of it is mindless, and a completely different matter. They got what they deserved IMO - ie: facing the consequences of their own reckless and downright inconsiderate actions.

Society is much better off without them \o/

I feel for the families and if anyone in the car wasn't scum.. Other than that it's just Darwin and karma just doing their rounds..

Dude.. Am I your friend? Can I have your number just incase :p

;)

yes.

Why the rolleyes? Another thread shown us that people think that finding money on the Floor and keeping it is stealing , So where do we draw the line? is it ok to "steal 200 pounds but not a Subaru? If so then what is the monetary value on a persons life before its acceptable to be glad there dead?

Let me give a perspective from a victim of car-theft.

My first car was an old ford escort diesel estate, bought for a grand in 1994. I was on very low earnings and I loved that car. I'd just passed my test and it felt great. I was due to be admitted to hospital to have a minor operation and me and my dad had a walk down to the local pub quiz to take my mind off it. As we were apporaching our house my dad noticed mycar wasn't there. This was three weeks after buying it. I never saw the car ever again. To make matters worse, all my college work was inside it.

So, the car was never recovered and the perpetrators got away with it. Do I wish that they had crashed it and burned to death? Do I wish that they drove into a lake and drowned? Do I wish that they got beaten and buried alive like in "Casino"?

The answer is yes. Preferably all three while they're in hell. I swear, if I ever found out who they were I'd find a way to have them killed.

So if someone is bad enough to be killed for stealing some old escort , what does a person deserve for killing said person?

I'm going to ignore the question, because your wording of "some old escort" clearly indicates that you missed the entire point.

Sorry maybe i should have mentioned :

"Do I wish that they had crashed it and burned to death? Do I wish that they drove into a lake and drowned? Do I wish that they got beaten and buried alive like in "Casino"?

YES."

Maybe that would have reinforced my point without having to acknowledge it was your first car and your college work was in it.

Sorry, no real offense intended.. I just find that sometimes I not only disagree with other users posts but they genuinely make me lol :o

:p

Yeah okay. But you don't have to call me an idiot. I'm not stupid, if I write a post that doesn't make total sense (I'm tired atm) then give me a chance to rephrase. I don't pretend to know everything and one of the problems with a text based forum is writing something down and a totally different message coming across.

I try to simply post my opinions, not state that what I'm posting is cast-iron fact. If you feel they're wrong, simply correct me. (Although I realise I'm not some golden boy and have resorted to insults, possibly in this very thread).

:)

Flame me all you like but I have been around these forums a long time (don't let the join date fool you) and I have generally had a lot of respect for the people here.

Now I realize the people have changed in the 6 or 7 years I have been here but some of the recent posts in these forums of which this is a classic example are making me lose respect for the people here.

The families of these 4 did nothing wrong and they have lost family members, no matter the circumstances they deserve the sympathy of decent people that can understand that the fault is not theirs.

And as for the people saying they stole the car they got what they deserved I'm sorry I cannot agree. I have had 3 cars stolen in my lifetime and although I was angry at the time in the end thats what I have insurance for. it is a machine it is replaceable a life is not.

Saying that someone deserves to lose their life just because they stole a machine is wrong in so many ways.

Well that's my opinion flame me if you wish I don't care because I live safe in the knowledge that at least I still have some basic human decency

Utopia and '**** hole*' are extremes.

The country did used to be better than it is now. It was never a utopia but it was better than this.

So what? I don't see a news story like this and think "aww, think of the poor lads granny," why the hell would I?

All I think is that 4 scumbags have removed themselves from that streets, and thats fine with me.

Anyway, their families are probably just as bad as them.

They might be, they might not be - you can't say.

It is perfectly possible that the parents of at least one of the victims had no idea what their child was up to. Parents can't keep tabs on what their grown up kids do in their lives and shouldn't be expected to.

Poor poor scooby I like those cars:(.

Although I posted this I dont think this is funny at all. I can only put this down to a knee jerk response, shame on me!:(

I 100% agree in no way did they deserve to die for stealing something as trivial as a car, that doesent mean they shouldn't of been punished! My thoughts go out to there family's regardless of there family's backgrounds which doesent come into it!

Another internet tough guy. A car can be replaced. It is called insurance. Only a muppet leaves valuables/important items in a car.

I still wouldn't care, they brought up their child to be a thief.
